i know the facelift is mid 2003 so it was either built early 03 or sometime in 02 and my suspicion was right. august 2002 build. nice low kms but i wouldnt pay 30k for it. would rather get one thats done 120ks but most works done for 25k than get this for 30 + other expenses which are bound to be due sooner rather than later.

First thing i notice is that its a 2003 but prefaclift. Might even be a 2002 build. Check plate on carjam for vin then decode it to find out

pretty much identical to a 325i.. except its a 525i.. and a completely different body, a completely different interior, completely different chassis, completely different driving experience but its pretty much identical to a 325i..

What colour is the acc and what is the 12v? Standard bmw plug has been cut out previously for the pioneer unit. edit: nevermind, so red/white is the 12v and purple/white is the switched power. got it. will have a go now. edit 2: all fixed yay

bought a secondhand sony headunit and wired it up. its all working and sounds great but one problem is that its not retaining any memeory, such as the clock. it would always reset to 1:00 after i turn off and start up the car. it had an existing pioneer headunit so the wiring swap over was easy but maybe it was done wrong from the beginning and i just didnt notice (i hardly used the existing stereo) from my brief google search it seems that its an issue with the acc wire and the 12v wire. the 12v is supposed to provide constant power while the car is off. strange, could the headunit be faulty? or an issue with the wiring?

chuck a stage 4 HPF turbo on it. (car in video is only stage 2 turbo i think. stage 4 is making 1000+ hp lol)

when i had the problem with my mercedes not started i checked battery and fuses relays everything and even crankshaft sensors camshaft position sensors etc and turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. definitely check it out, it is a part that does fail and requires replacing at some stage.

why dont u think its just simply a faulty fuel pump?

^ the operator relies on good beans and a good working machine otherwise u wont even get a half as good cup of coffee. Steaming milk is important too but thats mostly the operator

just remember that these machines DO require regular servicing. take it to espresso engineers in grey lynn, good people there. happy to give you a small lesson if you come to the next meet darren haha
