I thought that too! Looks very similar. its an interesting spec being DCT! This is my dads car anyway and has lots of issues so will be keeping and fixing it for a while..

I can get through the dealership 1L bottles for $45 incl GST. Alternative is Penrite version from SCA for $42. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/penrite-penrite-ldas-power-steering-fluid-1-litre/540569.html Is there any other alternative?

charge pipe is relatively easy. its the boost pipe that got me raging trying to fit it. the clearance is non-existant so you gotta wriggle it around and somehow get it out the bottom and put the new one in. these cars would benefit from an LSD as I previously mentioned but if not, try to look for some wider wheels and good tyres especially for the rear. something along the lines of 18x9 or 9.5 with 265/35/18 would be perfect. offset is very tricky with these to get right.

that means you gave it some jandal on the test drive. nice! you will be very happy with it, its probably the most fun car in that price bracket imo and not as precious as an M car.

It will be a good car. Just make sure you keep up with regular oil service intervals (aim for 10,000kms and dont pass 15,000kms) and keep an eye on the rubber intake boot as it may split (cheap replacement part anyway). Waterpump may fail anytime from now so keep that in mind and make sure coolant is always topped up and only use genuine BMW (blue) coolant with distilled water. If you have autosure then you are pretty much covered for everything but better to keep up to date with maintenance and have the car running nicely than to have to repair things after it breaks and be left without a car for a long time.

lol if the dealer is offering to fix it (or pay towards getting it done) do that and save yourself the hassle.. its a bloody nightmare in there. you dont need to remove the glass btw

^I also just finished reconnecting I think 8? wires in the tailgate.. crazy, there were so many wires snapped/cut in there.

post close up photos of your tyres or type our every word on it and we can tell you if it is a RFT or not. Either way, its absolutely your choice if you want to run RFT or go for normal tyres and have roadside assist/tyre goo in the boot.

I actually saw this on the motorway this morning, it had one of those rubber EZ Lips on the spoiler.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/130i/listing/2783103634 Seems like an excellent deal at $10500 for a true 2010 LCI model with the left right paddle shifters and low kms.
