  1. Overall still a good machine but looks dated with that big ol case and unappealing to the kids these days who are looking for something “cool” aka RGB. And usually the 10-15 year old kids’ parents are looking for something cheap and within budget for fortnite gaming so u have to market it for that with simple plain english imo. if you part it out should easily get $500. cpu mobo ram 300, gpu 150, psu 50, case 20 etc
  2. Im insured for 9k, which after I pay the excess its only 8500. hopefully I never have to use it.
  3. probably none and unlikely. still a good price. I am just a bit picky as I prefer the facelift and CIC over CCC as a minimum otherwise I would have grabbed it.
  4. Gotta be quick. It was a good price. (Wasnt me btw)
  5. It should be cross compatible with f30 at least. The newer wheel is much nicer but are way more expensive. Probably around $800. its a shame because i would recommend a fake alcantara wrap but being msport it will make it way too fat. It was a perfect “upgrade” on my sports model with the thinner wheel. yes engine is noisy but only from outside and especially with bonnet up. Inside it should be all good. radio conversion should be cheap. Gps maybe a bit more. Should manage okay with google maps and spotify via bluetooth? try negotiate the price to account for rotos and pads at least and get it. Service history etc is the big one and if mechanically its sound then it will be the best one to get.
  6. If someone wants to buy mine for 10k then sure why not hahaha
  7. black manual 130i for under 10k on trademe. get in quick otherwise i might have to do another oops purchase

    bump, make an offer
  9. yep, mileage not too important imo. the previous one I had bought at 100ks and sold at around 125ks only thing we changed was the intake pipe and servicing. ran like a dream, it was a sport model with widescreen, comfort access, big dash display etc. blue one easily the best presented out of the lot and well priced. looks well maintained too.
  10. also check that the front headlights are sealed properly and not leaking water (condensation)
  11. here are my picks from a quick look https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/116i/listing/2777404590 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/116i/listing/2883400881 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/116i/listing/2912727932 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/116i/listing/2904520516 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/116i/listing/2921503133 I wouldnt discount a sport (not m sport) model if its well spec'd and priced around 12k, otherwise try to keep under 15k for an msport one imo. anything more than 15-16k it better be exactly what you want.
  12. been away on holiday just got back so havent been looking. I think the pricing varies a lot on these. you can get a basic one for 10k or even less but it can sometimes go upto 20k which is stupid imo. These cars are good if you get it around the middle price range which is how much our ed30 nz new 42km 1 owner example cost. msport and kms determine the price significantly but more importantly look for a well optioned one. things like big screen, big info screen on cluster, keyless entry/comfort access, electric seats etc are all optional and will vary from car to car. reliability wise, air intake pipe (rubber) will crack open eventually, waterpump thermostat, otherwise pretty solid. oil changes important, if you plan to tune then you will need an oil cooler at least as the engine oil does get hot. very reliable and good on fuel, ours currently shows 7.5L/100km mixed driving. could be better. quick and nimble, zf8 is awesome, only bad side is car feels a bit "light" especially with electronic steering but this could also be a positive thing. its an easy car to drive. post up any examples you find on tm and happy to give me 2c. msport definitely looks best but if you end up paying too much for it, why not just pay a bit more for a f30 320i/328i or a f20 125i or even M135i? haha
  13. Great car, Ive owned one before a 2012 and currently have a 2013 edition 30. let me know if you have any specific questions.
  14. Can’t decide which I hate worse, the crystal aftermarket headlights or the M3 badge on the side skirts.. Easy enough to remove and replace but that’s a pretty high price
  15. I used ftp it was the cheapest decent option. Plenty of more expensive ones but i doubt theres any performance difference.
  16. Key for n55 engine maintenance is regular oil service. Dont go past 10,000kms between changes. Just dont.
  17. ^ thats interesting, because I found the N55 to be a fantastic engine (exciting drive) in the M135i F20. It must be the combination of engine + chassis that makes the difference.
  18. This thing is awesome. Its quite expensive for a “535” but it does have a lot of mods. also this dealer (consignment seller) knows how to present cars really well. Almost bought one off him a few months ago but ended up with something else.
  19. i duno why but it cracks me up seeing 10 spark plugs and 10 coils. hahaha
  20. https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/80167/Relay-Multi-purpose-4-Pin-61366901469/ anyone got one of these?
  21. that fiji green is really something.
  22.
