Unfortunately the "collector" status put on these cars means that a lot of them will sit in a garage to appreciate in value. (despite not even being a "true" M engine car as it has the N54) I would also much prefer an M2 but still a lot of money for an N55 engine car. The F80 M3 dropping in value means it will be much more accessible soon. M2Comp would be my favourite but still way too expensive.

Got a NZ Post card for parcel non-delivery so signed into the website to organise re-delivery and says unavailable. So following the pick up instruction "collect from X between 8-6pm" I drove an hour thru traffic after work to get there and sign on the door says sorry we will be closing from 1pm as of JULY 2020!!!

Anyone have a car battery charge i can borrow? Not jumper leads. I want to hook the car up to a power source while running the self bleeding procedure for the cooling system on the e61 and also to do some diagnostic testing for discharging on my battery. Thanks!

my money is on thrust arm bushes, if its doing it at 80kmh while cruising and not related to braking (in which case it would be warped rotors or similar)

You should be able to get the ABS fixed approx $500. (did it on my old E39, a guy down in taupo does it. http://www.ecu.co.nz/abs) Having owned plenty of E46 in the past, there is definitely a bit more power from the 3L in a 330i but its still no rocket. If you find a nice 325 that ticks a lot of the other boxes I wouldnt discount it.

Can I have the negative terminal disconnected for a long time while testing this? I think under 0.5A is considered normal. I have heard and read a lot of possible issues with the battery/IBS and water/moisture which is why I went and fixed up the tubing for the sunroof drain hole. Im just not sure because the battery has been replaced already and the test today came back good so there must be something else wrong with it. @aja540i any ideas?

Had the car parked up for about 3-4 days and battery was drained and wouldnt start. Got AA to charge and test it and came back all good..? it was replaced approx 3-4 yrs/50,000kms ago by previous owner and coded to the car. before we parked it up the clock reset itself a few times and also the reverse cam stopped working. (Still doesnt work atm) any idea what i need to look at to get this sorted? Is there a way to check for battery drain? can i disconnect the neg terminal and test the fuses or something? Thanks!

my 'other' Euro car (hint - it's a Frenchie.....)

I also didnt see that part. No wonder its way cheaper than what it should be. Its interesting how much cheaper these write offs are taking into account the cost to buy then to fix, they still manage to turn a profit.
