I will have a bit of soil/dirt from a backyard project that will need to be disposed of soon. Does anyone have a good solution for this? I have seen flexibins at $50 a 3m^3 bag. Is there somewhere I can take it to dispose for free or does anyone need it? Thanks!

Here is the new alignment sheet
-
yep.. this colour combo + so many nice wheels.. must have very deep pockets. Kind of reminds me of @Sammo 's e46 :p
-
Yep so new alignment was done (front and rear) after tyres were fitted. All good now
-
yep.. its pretty crazy to think that a 30 year old potential rust-mobile with quarter million mileage demands the higher price as a well sorted E46/E39 or similar price to a nice E90/E87..

you'd think its expensive but this will sell at or near that price for sure. a 1984 320i coupe popped up the other day and was withdrawn within 24 hours at $6999 asking price. was nowhere near mint and nothing special at all but hey its an e30. FTW

I think you may be right. I could be overestimating the 4cl turbo's capabilities in the much bigger chassis of the 5. Maybe thats why its ex-SG. A lot of cars in Asia tend to have the combination of small engine to body size. like 520i and audi a6 2.0 etc. I remember seeing heaps of long wheel base varients of cars over in China that I never knew even existed. The emissions regulations and taxes on the bigger engines combined with the perceived luxury status of driving a limo over there.. Anyway, at $20k+ for this example, its no longer on my radar. time to look elsewhere!

Interesting story I heard from a neighbour (car dealership owner) is that they have sold 50 cars on paper during lockdown (waiting to be collected after lockdown) and all their new incoming stock has been held up in Japan so they have very few cars left to sell. Complete opposite end of the spectrum!

havent had a chance to jack it up and have a look but will do that this weekend hopefully.

Have owned and driven an F20 116i with the soulless 4cl turbo for over a year alongside my F20 M135i. Yes, the 4cyl is more like a glorified corolla but I enjoyed it for what it is, not for what its not. Also test drove plenty of 320i F30/F31 in hopes of buying one but never found one with the right spec so didnt settle. It was also "fine" in my opinion. Drove a couple of 328i F30 and they were also good. Have driven the older 6cl 528i F10 numerous times and I think its average. Heavy and underpowered for a big car. Need to rev it to get any torque. I think they all drive like a BMW, not like the older ones but still very BMW like. Keeping in mind that "being like a BMW" has changed over the years, what it once was it no longer is. You can tell from what they have done with the new 1 series switching to fwd and how they have changed out the 6cyls in favour of the turbo'd 4's.

got new tyres fitted and aligned. everything is now within spec but my suspicion is that the front tie rods need replacing. hello again FCP..

Ive also used autolign numerous times since back in 2008 and know they are good. but that is not my question or concern. I was just trying to understand the numbers on the alignment sheet so it makes sense to me. so my conclusion is stock config is all toe in, left wheel points inwards more than the right but both are pointing inside. the rear axel was not adjusted as i mentioned in OP because of excessive wear on the rear tyres.

what do you (people) do with the hardtop if you want to take it off on a nice day?

My heart will always beat for the inline 6's.. M52, M54, N52b30 (in a 130i), S52/S54, etc but the new 4 cylinder turbos, especially this one with 180kW is a great engine performance and economy wise and well suited to this car imo. Not a big fan of the sound of course..

its the mini cooper s. im going to get new tyres fitted and get it balanced and aligned properly. I think it definitely needs some new bushes but lets see how I get on with the new tyres. the rear tyres were on it's last breath anyway so it was time for a change.

Haha herb. Yes the rear toe is wrong because they didnt touch it. its not a bmw btw
-
nice car, love the monaco blue. I think that rear boot spoiler looks awesome. Also, I reckon keep the rear bumper, think they look fine and msport bumper is everywhere. 1M front bumper will be cool, something different. And very nice R32 GTR!! hard to see these days.

137,706 --> 138,107 maybe and 150,524 --> 150,727 I wouldnt bother trying to correct it. No one will make a fuss when it comes to sale time and if they do they are just timewasters.

could be bad handwriting from wof sheet/reading odo wrong or typo when entering it into the system. cross check and service papers you have with the dates showing on carjam to verify if its just human error.

Hi guys, Just wondering if someone can explain this alignment sheet to me. The rear axle was not touched apparently as rear tyres were well worn and there was camber wear on the inner edge - you can see that the rear toe has not been changed. (is this correct? I have never had an alignment shop tell me they cant adjust something due to tyre condition, they also tried to up-sell me some expensive tyres which I dont need right now) Anyway, if my understanding is correct, positive number means toe IN, so does that mean the left wheel points inwards of 5.4mm and the right wheel points inwards of 1.2mm? or if target data of 2.5mm is the "correct" position for the vehicle, does that mean the left wheel is toe in by 2.9mm and the right wheel is toe out by 1.3mm? Obviously the tyres will need changing and will get a re-alignment done then. My problem (before and after the half alignment was done) is that the car drifts left when trying to go straight. I know that the roads slope left but this isnt the issue. I have read that rear toe problems can cause a wrong thrust angle, so by having a toe in at the back does that result in the car turning left? (makes sense) Thanks!

just wondering if this 6 vehicles per year means from 01.01.xx to 01.01.xy or a rolling year at any given time? Who is treated as motor vehicle trader (1) A person is treated as carrying on the business of motor vehicle trading for the purposes of this Act if— (a) the person holds out that the person is carrying on the business of motor vehicle trading; or (b) in any specified period, the person sells more than 6 motor vehicles, unless that person proves that those motor vehicles were not sold for the primary purpose of gain; or
