id totally buy something like this if it were cheap enough. would be a good toy to hoon in without caring too much. Provided its not completely mechanically buggered.
-
Thats a beautiful car, wouldnt think that price would be too far off the mark for a collector.

That switch is for the rear fogs (top button front, lower button rear), and no you dont need to be in reverse for them to work. Will only work on one side (Driver side IIRC), when your lights are on (park or higher). Button in for on, out for off. Looks much better with the MSport front. I tinted the fogs on my old hellrot yellow too.

i asked early on, answer is top of page 2.

Tried milland or euroitalian?

clears look awesome. Also very jealous of the SWB 750i

Both of the cats in my old M3 exhaust were replaced with resonators. Had a great sound and was good in terms of volume. This was my one.

You sir, are a brave brave (or foolish) man Whys it so stripped, did the PO get all the bits they wanted off it and then just flick the shell? The parcel tray will need to be fixed properly, with weld, as its now considered a structural element.

Ah, its this car. didnt even click. From what ive heard, i hope you have a good mates whos a panel beater.

And on NZHondas too. He does usually deliver the goods, unless there are serious supply issues overseas, but it can take ages. Its really his lack of communication that lets him down.
-
yeah, look around the webs, they are well known for having sh*t communication and taking forever to actually deliver anything that isnt in stock locally. Ive seen enough bad about them that i wont use them, better off gambling with ebay or something.

i threaded the tensioner in by hand first, be trying pretty hard to cross thread it that way. I do understand yours had issues, someone before you probably made a mess of it at some point. -
How many other tidy, legal, drivable 2002s can you buy right now? Its cheap for what it is imo.
-
wow thats in good shape. Shame it doesnt have the cool round tail lights.
-
golly its rough though isnt it? "did some panel work" yeah, with a spray can and a bit of cardboard to mask it off.
-
Weird, cant seem to post the link. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/53358-the-540-is-for-sale/ E: ah, cant post a link by its self. needs text.

Just a note. On my 3.0 with AC i used a spanner to change my tensioner. was easy with only a couple of small things removed to make space (fan shroud wing iirc). Details are in my old project thread. -

Yup, stop rolling so far forward is the easy answer. Have you still got all your under trays? -

Reinforcements would be fairly down on the list in terms of priority, unless there is already signs of cracking or tearing (or youre going to throw all mechanical sympathy out the window and thrash the pants off it). Bushes, joints and suspension would be my priority. -
I really like the blue and tan personally, but yeah i agree those wheels do it no favors. Would ditch the "dtm" tips too. Would be a nice summer cruiser with the auto.

As mentioned in the turner link i posted, only guaranteed from 96 onwards, anything older may not. have seen a couple of posts on other forums with damage done. -
its either been for sale for ages, or its been up a couple of times. Certainly seen it on TM before with that sort of price.
