that looks awesome, well done. Got plans to remove that front jap plate holder?
-
might be the perspective then, looks awful in that pic. The CSL boot lid is the one thing i cant stand about the CSL any, so ugly.
-
its a shame the 750 isnt techy enough to do cylinder deactivation. would get great mileage if it could shut off half the cylinders at cruise.

This one here, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=963766917

There was a nice blue one on there recently for not much over 12k, would much prefer that one (had a quick look, doesnt seem to be listed atm).
-
I sure hope its been tidied back up to the condition of the photos in the listing then.... Was thinking just how beautiful it looks in the photos.

According to the build sheet, its actually a 750IXL Not sure if its just me, but it doesnt seem THAT well optioned. Maybe all the cool stuff is just standard equipment? Yet its all good in the hood to use a replacement lamp with a dark lens, even if the light output is exactly the same as a tinted one. Lawl.
-
Its NZ New and according to the options list its a true motorsport spec. A pretty decent car other than the wheels and ACS stuff
-
Dont get me started on "ex fleet, full service history". We have fleet companies happily voiding warranties because they are too cheap to do an air filter or brake pads when needed.
-
looks great, some really good bits on there too. But please, for the love of jebus paint the valve and plug covers wrinkle black! That grey looks poo.
-
before digging too far, hows the battery condition and voltage?
-
+1, dont do it. The darkside is dark for a reason.
-
Looks very cool, some stunning video in there too. Much better than some of the cheap "toys" kicking around. What camera does yours use? Hope you had all the relevant council/CAA permits to fly
-
Fair enough then, ONWARDS!
-
it always amazes me how weak the normal E46 coupe looks when next to the staunch M3. Love the color, and look forward to seeing it progress in your ownership. Congrats!
-
that "slipping" of the trans, could it be the torque converter locking and unlocking at cruise? Might be cheaper to sort that and keep it auto, if it is, than to rebuild/replace the whole auto or convert to manual.
-
I have a Ryobi One+ 1/2" Impact wrench (which like the Bosch one comes with an adaptor to become a drill driver too) and its bloody great for around the garage. Heaps of torque, and being One+ i have a few other tools too that all use the same batteries.
-
its certainly "outrageous" though
-
Looks like the main dash section is black, so just go grab some black lower trim and centre console from another E46 and be away laughing?
-
gosh those non-msport E39s are just.... dull, to look at.
-
looks good, its a great combo of facelift, CS and that blue. Think itll stay auto?
-
SOME WILL LAUGH AND NO DOUBT SOME WILL SHED A WTF TYPE TEAR

How do you know the conversion wasnt done from new? Werent a lot of options for elite euro sports cars back then like there are now, so its not like they could just jump in a C63 (couldve got an auto 2.3-16 cosworth, but who wants a merc?). -
Mine stopped making that noise when i replaced the chain tensioner, otherwise the only noises you could hear were normal ones (mainly injectors). Its well known that the 10W60 oil was only specified for the S50 AFTER the S54 came out, but no one can agree on what grade it was before that.
