ahh. I knew i'd read about modifying the handbrake shoe for something. Hopefully I can fit the 328 gear under what i'm tinkering with.
-
Make some up in alloy or delrin(acetal). I've got some powerflex purple urethane ones in my car. I wouldn't recommend them because of how much mucking around you need to do to make them fit.
-
Good to hear you finally tracked down the knocking noise Do you need to modify the handbrake shoes for the larger rear rotors?
-
For more lock you'll be wanting to either use rack spacers (kinda sh*t) or modify your spindle where the tie rod attaches. If you have the money use the gear made by slr(and some other companies) http://www.slrspeed.com/products.html

was the m52 stroked out to 3L?
-
Is standing the engine up just a matter of fabricating new engine and gearbox mounts? Maybe bending the shifter a bit? Which gearbox do you have to manage the torque coming from this? Looking forward to seeing what is created
-
top mount now? or are my eyes playing tricks. If so have you found room for a downpipe or changing engine mounts?
-
low impendance injectors like those will need a resistor box for your standard link g4
-
I had the feeling this was the case. Wiring is damaged because I hacked it out The only modules I am using from the car are abs and the window wipers. I'll be using a link g4 for the ecu. I just want to keep it as minimal and simple as possible. The fuse box and the positive terminal in the engine bay have been removed because of the roll cage

3.15 to 3.45 (I haven't yet decided) Would be to suit an e36 What is the difference between the centres?
-
I'm after parts 1,7,8, and 10
-
You wouldn't have any 188mm lsd centres?
-
I had but didn't really give it much thought because i'd need to hack it up. Which will probably give me a result that looks like my current loom, which has far too many connections. Any auto sparkies that can tell me where they source their products?

Easy job to replace the fuel injector orings. Definately easy enough to do yourself The clips holding the injectors to the wiring are quite fiddly and easy to send flying into the engine bay. Be prepared for the fuel to come out and don't drop anything into the injector holes. Other then that I don't think you can really go wrong aslong as you make sure the injector seals sit properly.

I'm redoing the wiring in my car. Not happy with my first attempt of reusing the old wires in the car. Looking to get some rolls of wire. Not sure where to purchase from though. Also looking for fuse blocks, connectors , tidy relays, etc. Where do I purchase these from If anyone has any other sudgestions or examples of a tidy and accessible setup, i'm all ears.

E46 front arms, M sport or standard
thorburn replied to Steve K-B's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Are you trying to get more lock or just more track width? Hope you've got something to dial that camber back in Quality of ball joints depends on the part manufacturer. M sport has the same gear afaik M3 and M sport are 2 different things -
m3's and early model e36's have the anti roll bar on the strut so you can pinch parts or inspiration from them. I wouldn't be trying to mount it to the control arm, just because it wasn't designed for it(well neither were e46 control arms) My notes say you'd want inner tie rods with part number 32106765235 and 32106765236

Don't forget to factor in the costs of ecu, tune, exhaust manifold, exhaust, fittings, head studs, fuel pump, injectors clutch, broken parts, etc I'm starting to find it adds up

Options for m50 tuning
thorburn replied to thorburn's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
Power costs money. What turbo kit? Don't think i've ever seen one for a right hand drive car. -
This chap claims it is fuel injected but I find that a bit hard to believe. Here is my favourite which is fuel injected http://www.f1-2000.co.uk/index.php?f=fuel_injectors

Can i get you to clean the sumps as well haha Yea i'd be keen to make a couple It'd be a good excuse to use my folder for something other then bait boards I'll PM you my number
-
I've just got a cardboard template made up. I'll get around to it one day
-
If you have any oil pumps from an s50 or s54 they are a nice upgrade. M54 pumps are different but seem to have the same internals. You'd need to modify it a little to fit so probably not worth it Are you making up a sump baffle

'94 M50B25 Rocker cover anti-dribble fixity kit
thorburn replied to Ahmedsinc's topic in Maintenance
I tried to get some vanos seals made up from sealimports. Even with an order of over 100 seals I couldn't get a better price then besian + shipping They said they had made them before. I can get you the name of the chap if you really want to source them locally. I'd order them from Besian
