  1. depends where your from and how much of it you can do yourself
  2. Will be fine. One of my workmates has one on his authority card Even is an option on the form: http://www.motorsport.org.nz/sites/default...Application.pdf
  3. Needs some bolt on guards, less camber and more tyre. Just my opinion Cool wheels though Is it legal as it is?
  4. Looks like most of the US drift cars e.g
  5. What'd you use to clean them? other then plenty of elbow grease. They look great now. Good find
  6. x-brace? I don't really need another one but i'm sure it'd be worth noting if it isn't damaged
  7. Where'd you get the audi exhaust valves from? the look like a very neat compact unit. You wouldn't know of any stainless items like it? Also where did you source those brake rotors. I was considering using some for a cheapish brake setup but found I could get 2 piece gear for cheaper. I really like how standard it looks. You've done a great job to hide it all away
  8. I remember reading a thread awhile ago about his garage. Didn't know the porsche was anything special until now
  9. To find out the torque you'll need to know what rpms you were doing at those speeds. Once you find that out bump it into the equation: Horsepower x rpm / 5252 = torque re-arrange for your pleasure must be a fun car
  10. It was recovered after he got paid out. Should be at the Hamilton turners auction soon. Sadly it has been deregistered Wheels were traded, front door cards were stolen and some other random bits pinched. Should have all the m3 suspension in it still. My mate picked up the e30 wagon Ray was selling with the payout.
  11. I sure hope he never makes his way to this country.
  12. Can you charge back(reverse) the payment? Don't be childish with fake trademe accounts.
  13. Ask the people who made the clutch setup if it can hold the torque that an s50 produces Kayne Barrie would be the guy to ask if the gearbox will hold. I'd assume it would for long enough I've got some m3 headers I could sell for the right money good luck
  14. Thanks guys. I'm very happy with it so far. Once I save up for a hoist I'm sure it'll be a very nice place to tinker. On that note does anyone have any suggestions on what brand of hoist I should be after. I've worked with 2 and 4 post hoists in the past. I have a preference to 2 post clear floor hoists
  15. Purchased this shed^ Once i've done a few renovations I'll be back into the cars again. Very nice exhaust btw Michael
  16. do you have a folder or are you clamping it to something with a flat edge and beating it? Keep up the good work
  17. 18 inch style 5's are a rare find. Did you get them shipped over?
  18. ah, i'm still getting the hang of this internet thing
  19. Greg are you sure? How do you get these parts in and drill out the housing without getting swarf through it Although getrag do change things quite often so maybe some models are different If some does buy it i'd be keen to purchase the smg gearbox
  20. I ended up picking up a manual 190e for $500. It included a non existent front wheel bearing, ash trays full of ash and ash scattered throughout, 2 years worth of rubbish, $15.10 in nz coins and a few Japanese yen stuck into the sound deadening. I can see it being a bit of a struggle to get to a reasonable condition. One thing I found interesting was E36 front struts all most bolt into the front. Problems now include abs light not working, ignition being temperamental and now the engine not running. I'm going to do an engine swap soon. It's currently far too slow and oldschool. Where do people get second hand parts from? I've currently only used startech
  21. Do you have some sort of airbox with filter for this?

Non vanos have a different trigger wheel offset. If your going to change any wiring you'd might as well get another link and wire it in Otherwise there are a few people around who can make up 'plug and play' harnesses Vanos is far superior in my opinion but that's another discussion
  23. very nice. What clutch setup are you using?
  24. I copied this procedure. http://www.essexparts.com/learning-center/...ors/post/Bed-in
  25. 'Body roll decreases adds negative camber' would be a nicer way to put it. The majority of cars have a negative static camber value (the top of the tyre leans towards the car). "Beating body roll by dropping the car's center mass is a big win" - I do not agree with this. I believe for a lot of people it creates more problems then it solves. Yes lowering the car gives less leverage over the suspension "beating body roll". But here are some of the reasons I don't agree with it:(mostly talking about macpherson front struts) Hitting bump stops due to less suspension travel. Bump steer caused by different steering link travel compared with control arm travel. Roll centre otp causing unwanted camber changes during suspension travel Excessive static camber gained What happens when you lower the back end of an e30, e36ti or z3? Some of these are only due to excessive lowering 'Sway bars reduce traction because they lift the inside tire'- How much weight is being distributed to that inside tyre during body roll? It'd be nice if they explained why toe settings do what they do on the front and back. I'll add my view on this when i've got some time I hope my explinations make up for my lack of real experience
