Pretty sure M52E30 doesn't equal cheap
-
Looking good John, as Mark said looking forward to seeing it at the Hamilton E30 Meet.
-
Isn't there one in the open class series? Maybe someone could put him in touch with them.
-
I just threw one out...ooops.
-
^ Haha I will keep that in mind

Do you need the muppet weasels at bimmerfest to proof read everything Brent tells you? Pretty sure he is one of the more knowledgeable people on any BMW forum. My 2c.

As I said it's horses for courses, depending on how your car is set up etc will affect how dangerous it is to remove them. I only removed them because several E30 racers said that they don't run them and I am pretty sure they would drive their cars harder than I would, with the same suspension set up as me etc. I think the OP got his answer before this turns into a sh*t fest anyway. /End thread.

Well my shocks have really short rebound so the springs are ultra tensioned all the time, so no worries about the spring coming out, need to jack the trailing arm up to get the spring compressed enough to bolt the shock in, if you have cut springs like so many morons around here, well that is another story.

^ Well it should make the rear of your car sit lower. Other than that you may get a little more noise from the rear end over bumps etc but that is it. My car doesn't have any and I don't notice the difference.

I have this set up and totally agree. If the race series E30's use Koni Adjustables they can't be bad shocks, I think mine are fantastic, the best money I have spent on the car. IMO buy Mattzy's H+R set up on trade me, I dare anyone to tell me it's not a bargain.

I like where this is going. Silver RS's as per pic with wider lips. Done. Don't over do it. Subtleness is key in my book.
-
^ What he said
-
Have you welded the doors shut on only the left side of the car?
-
^ I agree Blair. Just don't go throwing buckets of money at it and keep it square and it will be mint. So gutted I didn't get to meet up with you two and go for a ride

Happy Birthday son. From Nath and the Team at Redwood Hardcore Racing. PS: Get your M50 E30 done Skudz?
-
^ He has added facelift bumpers etc IIRC.

Nah mate, DIY all the way. Plenty of write ups online etc to do it. The hard thing is getting the old white bush out. A flat screw driver and a BFH helps here.
-
The white bush for the shifter is like $20 from the dealer...also replace the knuckle bush on the gearbox from the shifter arm with a brass version, helps improve it ten fold (also available from the dealer). Z3 shifters are worth the price....I love mine. If you need any part numbers etc pm Jason (SIRE30) as he helped organise the group buy we had last year on most of the above.

Wheels = 21st century version of Pokemon Cards, Bey Blades, Pro Yo's /(insert your collection fad here:) Wheels are rad tho.

^ If it is the same as a E30 carpet/door trim use a long flat screwdriver and wedge at each point where the clips are (as in use the screwdriver to lever right beside where the clips are) not inbetween them as it breaks the clips.
