  1. have you checked with your father before posting and wasting everyones time?
  2. PM John (e30ftw) he has one coming up, depending on where the crank position sensor is on your car
  3. use the correct gearbox for the car. playing around with modified brackets etc means you will need to certify the car, and thats more cost and hassle than is necessary. Even in the E34s day, there weren't many that chose manual so conversion kits are hard to come by
  4. is it bottle cap, 14" weave or 15" weave?
  5. check the general module and check control modules are seated correctly for a start could open them up and have a look for dry joints, and/or replace with a known working one from someone else. I have an M20 E34 one here in known good condition, i don't know how cross compatible they are though
  6. Yes, i have a contact in Trademe (as my business account is a top seller) and i got it pulled
  7. saw one of these yesterday actually was probably the previous generation, looked very similar unfortunately was only idleing and i could barely hear it.
  8. i might be missing something, but why does it have to be rear wheel drive?
  9. Nissan could too with all bases covered, and some police Maximas running around already. even VW could tick all the boxes too except for the light truck, though they do have the Crafter which is currently in use as their paddy vans.
  10. there was rumour a few years back they would be 530d (like the crown 730Ld) But my understanding is that Holden will be around when they close the plants, we will just see Vauxhall, and Chevs badged as Holdens here, rather than the other way around. The brand is too valuable here and in Australia to kill off the brand completely. Opel Astra have been badged Holden for years here, first generation Holden Cruise are Chevrolet in UK and USA etc.
  11. the biggest thing people forget is, it costed north of $150,000 new, so expect repair bills into the Thousands of dollars. Just because 10 or 15 years on its only worth $10k (pulled that number out of thin air), its still a $150,000 or more car.
  12. $20k yes, but very cool, and actually suits the styling of the car. Unlike E30 pickups which are more common than you would think, and I'm yet to see one well executed
  13. just after the Chev, the Peugeot in the next cut, looks like the exhaust is red hot????? don't see many of those fords anymore! Thanks for sharing Josh as always!
  14. thanks mate! yeah seeing it side by side with my V12 Touring, its hard to pick a favourite.
  15. did you find the rear view mirror constantly felt like it was in front of your face. I know i daily a hiace with a massive windscreen so I'm used to that, but still
  16. Assumng you want a 325i, the prices they actually move at (not what they are listed/advertised at) Preface lifts about 4-6k depending on condition, face lifts 6-8k, condition of the vert specific parts is important especially the toof, they arent cheap snd they seem to be rarely wrecked. history etc is not as important as far as value goes especially if you will be molesting it anyways. 320i variants are a bit cheaper, but only an engine swap away to be "the same" for cheaper overall I was looking for about 18 months before I found the one that ticked all the boxes except its auto, grabbed it anyways!
  17. Got two 525i E34 here, One 89 M20, one 94 M50TU (Vanos), both sedans Let me know if you need any parts, E.g. E30 M5x conversion parts AC Schnitzer bodykit suit sedan or wagon Basketweave alloys good tyres Interior clips/trims etc Airbags Modules like LKM CCM GM etc Panels Glass Suspension (not wobbly at 80-110km/h both cars) Message me, or text only business hours or text/call after hours 0273079322 Or take whole cars away, Niether crashed, just scruffy, Both cars have live on hold rego and recent expiry WOFs M20 car mostly complete, not economical to put back on the road, engine runs but overheats, havent bothered to diagnose, evidence of coolant in oil etc, head maybe ok??? suitable parts only really M50 car, 100% complete, not too bad condition, usual E34 issues, will go back on road if no interest in bits
  18. By the way mate they also fit genuine wide style genuine NZ plates. Glws
  19. yup, your alignment has been affected anyway when you changed things around. when you take it for an alignment, with the E34s you are supposed to put weights on particular seats etc, just google that. I don't know if the alignment stations do that or not, but worth doing yourself so you know its there. The E34s have quite fussy suspension in the front. same as E32
  20. lol i have had about 20 BMWs over the past 5 to 6 years, only two of those are calypsots and still got oth lol. got the two calypso's, a silver e34 touring, a blue e34 sedan, and a green e34 sedan here.
  21. thats possibly the 000 car that he mentions. his is 001 which might be he first available for sale. in any case, first or 21st, i really don't see how that makes a difference to the value other than wank factor
