Saw a Holden HQ ute with a Lexus V8 came in today
-
nope, it was an option for everyone even USA
-
no damage here which is good, tree out the front of my place came half down but thats the councils problem now. quite good as I have been trying to get them to pull it out for close on two years pretty much as soon as i moved here, they wont have a choice now. a few doors down though a very large one has come down you can't even see the front of the house because of the tree in front of it took the power down with it to my place.

not very common this side of the world! do you have the clips for the cealing to go along with it?
-
yep i think they have 4 pins though not the 6 pin M70 type. yep will get it remapped at some stage got a few things i want to do first though
-
I have had a suspicion my M70 is running a bit rich, I'm not really sure, but id like to have a tinker anyways. Of course its a 5L V12 from the 80s its never going to be a Prius. Im looking for a spec sheet so i can test the MAFs on my M70, cant seem to find one online. I was just going to buy some remfd ones and call it a day, but at $560each X2 + Shipping, Id rather be sure first. New are NLA What I can see is that M70 uses a specific 6pin MAF which my car has two of, but unfortunately there are not used on other BMWs etc. so no options there. Live data reporting doesn't seem to be supported on this DME, or maybe its just my scanner, but in any case want to do it the manual way with a multi meter. BMW sell remanufactured MAFs as said above, anyone know who in New Zealand can do this for me, or can any of you? dont mind shipping to Auckland or what ever. Thanks team Andy

last week i decided to finally come up with a solution to install a stereo head unit into the E34. has the much bigger 750iL heater box which mean there was not enough room for the stereo to slide all the way back. Imported a LHD center panel and fitted that to the RHD console, relocating the OBC to the RHS of the stereo. looked like it would work but still no go, stereo would go a lot further back, but still not quite clear the heater box, but hanging out 1" or so rather than 3" so thats good, but not good enough. decided what i need to do is buy a head unit that has no CD reader in it, but for the mean time have put the RHD panel (like normal) back into the car, and removed one of the electronic actuators for the heater box. lucky these little motors dont have little hidden anchors etc. this allowed stereo to slide all the way home. Yay! Now have the disadvantage that no air comes out the little vent on the drivers door or by the front right tweeter, but good enough for now. Then i was able to put all the rest of the interior back in the car and it finally looks presentable nice having a glovebox not just a gaping footwell on the passengers side! looking good on inside, decided i was sick of looking at 6 months of crap on it including from two trips to auckland and back, yes been very lazy with the car. decided to clean it. now its covered in leaves and sticks and god knows what else from the storm. dont know why i bother some times

looks good, my one is pretty good its a Carsoft, can do some options stuff and can do live output, but only good for cars up to MY2005 from memory.
-
i had a gold fish at one stage
-
Ahh interesting! Watched thevwhole thing ha

Pelican sell them new. Id spring for an E34 one if your doing a group thing
-
Even E30 can have it from the factory. my alpine white E30 i cut up several years ago now had BMW central locking (yes using a BMW alarm). The option is certainly there.
-
sounds like the central locking is dead, if its not working from the passengers door and boot. cant remember the setup on an E36 sorry, not terribly familiar with them, but shouldn't be the solenoids. something is stopping the signal upstream of that. If it was unlocking at the passengers and the boot then yes it would be solenoids
-
oh yes, there are some round for sure! but a lot rarer compared to S50, thats what i was getting at
-
Glenn consistantly PMd me when i was doing my conversion asking me if i had found how to do it. I went to OBD1 in the end. Maybe try message him? he might tell you? He wouldn't tell me.
-
looks good, id say you woiuld have been the faster car all round if you weren't held up, you can hear you and your car not giving it all because of that M5 in front of you right. E30 all the way ha yup you do!
-
engine needs to go in an E30, something a little different to the more common S50 swap!
-
ahh so thats how it works. Im trying to get my head around it! Having never been a real follower of the series i wasnt sure. I was too young (if i was even born) when there was anything other than Ford and Holden in there, so it is all new to me. I was aware

Unveiled today, they wil be running the S60 with a V8 shoehorned in. To those not following the developments, they will be joining newcomers Nissan and Mercedes along with Ford and Holden, but unlike Nissan and Merc will actually be factory backed. http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/volvo-c...ns-v8-supercars I wonder if we can expect an announcement from another Blue and White brand???? WTB: E30 Bits (Eyelids, Dash Under Tray, Boot Carpet etc)

I have a tin of diamond schwartz metallic i brought for my very first e30. Mixed about 4 years ago but have never opened it. No idea if paint 'goes off' maybe John can let me know. I guess pay shipping and its yours? I dont think it will spill shipping. Its probably a liter or so at a guess. Sometimes you have to go to the dealer for rare/wierd parts like those tech 2 bits. Dealer doesnt tend to be toooooooo bad on non-maintenece items. -
the E30 cruise control setup is pretty rubbish, cable type setup but it doesn't adjust fast enough. some people have said it creates issues stretching the cable for the regular accelerator as well. The E30 wood trim, probably the second rarest part after the BMW M Technic badges, here is a replica of the real thing, the real ones go for well over $500 a piece on ebay last i checked, scary really. http://store.garagistic.com/ocart/M%20technic%20badges%20e30

even that shouldnt be too hard to fix. worst case senario, front cut off any E34 they are all the same and put that on. id say $2k max to fix not including the wheel, and thats paying someone to do it for you. so long as A pillars back are allright which it looks as though they are.
-
and it looks stupid. I know what plate i want for it and i got the money, but havent talked myself into getting it yet lol.

ha, from my signature? They each have their advantages. Im the E30 and E34 mod there, but i dont post there so much these days. Saw you pop up a few times in the E34 section though Its much better if you have a question specific to a particular chassis, you just have to take some degree of consideration in for RHD versus LHD. Whereas here seems to be a much more sociable forum, where you learn about models other than what you own, and can get help from a wider variety of experiences. But Welcome to Bimmersport!
