I put grneric rubber stripping in that later model cars have, it flushmounts the windscreen to the body and doesnt have this capping. It looks much better than original, can take a photo this arvo if you like. Makes it looks a lot like the rear hatch window when closed

no point cheaping out on maintenence stuff. go new. i have brought two clutch kits from Gavin @ Euro Italian, they come with pilot bearing, apparently usually they don't?
-
why do people highlight the one owner thing? i have couldn't care less how many owners any of my cars have had? never understood that.
-
Interesting, I dont know the correct way for sure, have never really liked alpina stuff except the wheels, but i thought Alpina was supposed to be on the left and the model on the right as shown? Whats the AC Schnitzer one? my understanding is it's always on the right, with a model number delete, unless its an S3/S5 etc, when it is on the left and the S5 badge on the right?

being a Laurel, think of how many times the car would have been doing standstills and you'll see how haha.

Whoops missed the updates on this thread, sorry guys! yep as Tristan said, been quite busy. Yep happy to do another group buy, looks like quite a few keen already, so Ill just open it straight up and take orders from tomorrow. You all know the drill by now I think. Will say orders close Wednesday week, thats the 10th July so last date to pay is the afternoon of that day, paid orders will be sent off to be made Thursday morningtime. Remember to send me your address!! even if ive got it before in a previous buy, send it again, I dont keep on file of course. somehow after 15 or so group buys some people still don't want me to ship to them lol. Pricing etc in OP kgo

Those products do work but I'd say it would be a miracle if it fixed this problem. Get an M52B28 in there, you may need some M50 obd1 parts. No point putting a 2L back in there, you will find a 2.8L will be more economical. The 520i pretty much only made to get round registration tax laws that don't exist here

Saw a black E24 with Bavarian something window decal, I think I was near Bulls?
-
Needs a Volvo wrapped around it
-
Imported one from the USA, they are a dime a dozen there and worth scrap cable price. LHD and RHD is the same for this part. You could also use the E36 loom, but the ECU will be in the wrong olace, and you may need to shorten places. But E30 loom would be much tidier install
-
Ment to say E34 above. No it's not bolt in. You will need to swap sumps arms/mounts oil pickup dipstick and tube over, when you get the e36 engine you will see why. About a hours work to swap over, and make sure you get new gaskets/orings for those bits. Might be a good time to change rear main seal while engine is out too
-
No, but very easy to convert. Just google it there are literally thousands of swapped e30s most with build threads pf varying degrees

power sliding limo looks like some grandtheftauto shizz

I totally disagree. Its a van, its not a BMW or any car for that matter, but i think it drives brilliantly and plenty of power for what it is. Quite solid on the road for nothing over the rear wheels as well. And im getting 9-10L/100km, what more do you want for a van. Sounds like your experiance is from just one example. Fantastic, i really appreciate the help! Will contact you when i need some parts for it. Andy

very cool

Yeah this one will be over that 400k mark by the end of the year. But all in all it runs really well, I'm very pleased with it. It only has three problems, 1/ Factory Toyota headunit no go. might be the code, but good excuse to put a new one in. 2/ Syncro on Reverse gear blown out i think, or something. For some reason it crunches into reverse unless its idling, no quick manouvers etc. If its something else simple I can fix let me know. Hopefully some new gearbox oil at some stage will solve. 3/ And the RPM gauge sometimes works sometime doesn't, i took the dash facia out when installing the stereo as required, couldnt see any loose connections or anything. anyone know what that could be? edit: clock also doesnt go at any time, and no hvac lights at night time when headlights on. May be related? Will post up a picture at some stage anyways. Looks quite smart I think

People who have imported cars into NZ from the U.K

i have no advice to offer, but surely its about time for a sticky on this topic??? -
tidy, 4-6k, probably more to the higher end of that. that setup not much good in an E36 tho
-
That is what im getting, I dont mind that. into the 10s when i had took my great grandma to coromandle haha. Just smells a bit like its running rich and about half the time can be visible but not heavy fumes, even when well and truly warmed up. This is at idle, no idea what it does when im moving Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing.
-
a friend of mine had one, aparently the engine mounts are prone to fail earlier than a normal car especially if manual. but i guess you take what you hear with a grain of salt? I know he had trouble finding aftermarket wheels for it too, but that might be irrelevant to you. only thing that ruins them is the compulsory front licence plate in NZ

rotten luck, wont have come from the scan unless they tried to plug the machine in a wierd place maybe why they couldnt get a read??? No such thing as a nice cheap bimmer though imo ha
