  1. looks like a good one from a quick flick through. you can get them hard top like this, or some have a sunroof that goes right the way from the front to the back which some people say are crap some say they are fine, depends where you read. on the whole, most will agree E34 probably one of the most bullet proof BMWs regardless if touring or sedan. they are pretty rare to develop problems that other BMWs get. Probably the only common problems to the E34 are that they front control arms (the bush) needing to be replaced more often than most cars. best solution is to run E32 750iL bushes when it comes time to change them, they are orange capped rather than blue cap. and the other problem is the wiring loom on either the tailgate or bootlid depending on if sedan or wagon can wear out and cause electrical issues with the rear taillights. Yes happens on both body styles. But both of these jobs pretty easy to sort out. good luck

    Stance?

I used to see it on R3vlimited 3 or 4 years ago when the stance thing was starting to take off, Mark Burroughs etc etc. used to get these guys with turbo S52 swaps (USA M3 motor), so you would think they are quick, but no, they are an inch above the ground. Looks cool, but why do an engine swap if its so low you cant use it? I got rubbished on there for rocking H&R sports, and its not like they are a high setup!
  3. Im certainly no qualified BMW mechanic, but isnt the same crowd in that E38 thread? Makes you wonder? http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=45494&st=0 That said id take advice in person from a specialist over from the internet anyday, i learnt that trick a long time ago
  4. chill, its been less than an hour between posts lol. most of us dont come on till evening time probably.. usual people though. Brent, Ray, etc

    Stance?

    form>function. bro.
  7. first thing to look at is if Australia has emissions/frontal impact etc laws like we do. I know an E46 would be banned from coming the opposite way these days.
  8. Should go better than a normal 525i when done then !

  10. I used two Repco boxes in my E30, now they are in my E34. Have two 12" subs, yes well i brought them when i was 16 lol. but those boxes were like $100 each from memory??
  11. $60 sounds pretty good to me, will they be putting it behind the back seat? forwards facing or backwards? or maybe could go in spare wheel well?

recommend talking to these guys Jon, they are flexible on price too just like all small companies. You might find the wheels an easier sell and/or get more for them in the end anyways.
  13. tidy E60 M5 grinding wheels on the curb in wellington.
  14. Just reread this thread man we are a confusing bunch! sounds like you have already made a plan. Cheapest solution is to find an M50B20 ex E34 and drop that in and your away. should be less than $3k including engine even at a specialist
  15. I dont even own an M3 and here I am reading it all, it all might help in the future you never know! Thanks Tom
  16. I have a spare full AC Schnitzer kit except boot spoiler I could be persuaded to part with, currently some version of BMW blue, not sure which. Would come with complete front and rear bumper too because they are urethaned on, and risk of damage if i separate, learnt that the first time round on the tourer. Can even include archcaps/gaurd extensions for the right $$ Send me a PM.
  17. thats okay, Im happy with my current wheel, would be good to get to stash for special ocassions lol
  18. OK so ACS wheel went? Just checking, not that bothered if it has
  19. as far as i know yup. havent tried on prefacelift though, but cant see why it wouldn't
  20. its they are both facelift and the bumper is a genuine BMW type one then yep. not sure about prefaclift. quite a job to swap over though, need to remove bumper even drop rear half of exhausts in both cars.
  21. didnt see this thread first time round brent! Definately recommend John (Bellicose) to paint it if he can. man if i saw that parked with that paint condition, the ligths and the M3 badge, i would have assumed it was just another 318i!!
  22. ordering this afternoon, anyone else need anything? last chance etc
  23. I understand that. The E36 is the same is what i was saying
