cheers for that! have just tackled it from another direction and realoem provides a picture of the complete cooling system including a pipe going to the port you didn't circle, which means you are right for the crank case. I know that hose number 6 in this picture connects to Part 6 in this picture (which is the throttle heating element according to real OEM) but which tube is it on the heating element that it connects to? there apears to be one two on one side and one on the other. the other tube on the left hand side of that picture is the coolant, and the output is coolant as well, i just dont want to mix the crank case and collant up obviously! they look like they are different sizes in that picture, but they arent in real life. If someone can have a look at their M40B18 or M40B16 engine id appreciate it! have just done the temperature sender which means the whole intake manifold has to come off on the M40 engine. argh. yep had a bit of trouble selling my benz too. in those days, its the equivelent of AC Schnitzer or Hartge, which a BMW guy will pay 30-40% more for the same model over an M Version. in a way, Mercedes buying it devalued the badge. also check this mitsy whoops went off topic

the agreed mounts to use by most conversion guys is E36 M5x arms and E28 M30/S38 rubber mounts. PM user E30ftw and find out what linkage he used, he had a Getrag 220 box on the back of his M50 E30. user Sasha now has thins car, he may also know.

maybe. I had billstein sports and H&R Cup shocks side by side and they look totally different. Both E30 fitment. the bilsteins were only a few mm thinner on the part behind the springs as opposed to inside the strut, whereas the H&R ones looked like Konis or similar with a very thin maybe 1/2" thick shaft on the spring end. thats what i based my assumption on that they werent billys. edit: looks like this photo compare to this which is H&R. couldnt find one of just the shocks not installed in struts, but gives you an idea I never ran the H&R shocks to tell you the difference between them though, i was sold them by someone claiming they were perfect but all 4 shocks were blown when i got them. so cant tell you the difference in the way they drove. of course, this is E30 fitment.

mines a panasonic, its the middle model cant remember the model number off hand. have also noticed it was a bit hit and miss, and then realised it was when i had the E30 parked about a meter in front of the unit that it didnt work as good as it did when it wasnt there and parked by the gate.
