  1. every option one would want by the looks, good colour and a good year. very tempting.
  2. is your cabin heater on 32 degrees?
  3. oh no, cabbies and rain do not mix 2002s and rain do not mix cabby 2002s and rain owner will come back to a pile of rust.
  4. by the way no need to pay $600 per gasket, they are available genuine BMW $250ish a piece, still $1k sure but not almost $2500. Can also get non-genuine for cheaper again. much more daunting to change than they actually are, half an hour a side tops. they fail when weight is put on the intakes as they are a 3 dimensional shape not a flat paper gasket etc. Jooles did them a year or two back on his 850 as well i think. come to think of it the seals around said valve i mentioned earlier (if your car has them) also common failure, 20 year old rubber now will be hard as. mine just crumbled away.
  5. if the M73 has the little valves on the rockers covers on both sides that go into the intakes, just above the front cylinder on both banks, put some hose clamps around them they are just pressure fitted which i found to be inadequate on mine.
  6. have found so far that is the easiest way unless you have a hoist/pit.
  7. Interestingly my bank wouldn't insure my house (even though they have the mortgage) so had to have a broker do that, i thought that was pretty weird. In NZ the next decade have had on good advise its always worth putting a "subject to insurance" clause in house purchase/sale agreements.
  8. Hans that looks a lot like the AC Schnitzer arch caps
  9. Welcome mate, we have a meet in a few weeks you are very welcome to come along, bit of a drive but hey nothing wrong with stretching a 545s legs. Check the Meeting forum under wellington
  10. Jealous bro next time we catch up keen to swap cars if you are see what the baur is like you can take the cabby
  11. I used distilled water in my compact racecar, has all alloy cooling system retrofitted and aftermarket alloy radiator. Usually just use tap water tho in the other cars including the cabvy
  12. Should have brought my V12 5 series wagon ahh well. Looked into the manual swap budget $6k or so that alone. Are you looking at putting it into E34 or E39
  13. Enjoy http://www.bimmerfile.com/2015/12/15/from-south-africa-to-munich-in-an-old-e30-3-series/
  14. ended up with two on the front of the E38, will do the back ones later on once the chinese crap is chewed out some more. Couldn't be happier. Is there a better tyre out there, yes probably but at what price.
  15. just done 2100km, only issue was people failing to keep left on dual carriage ways, but did notice people seem to be much more aware of a high top transit barreling up behind them rather than a BMW and do move over.
  16. Yes like that or aftermarket, don't care how it does it just don't want a tow bar on it all the time because the car is long enough as it is
  17. That looks permanent? Have seen some that have a receptical under the back bumper, the tounge slides in and bolts into when trailer is needed. Other times you wouldnt know its there Was one on a car at the Tauranga Pickapart a few months back, but couldnt get into the boot to remove it.
  18. why not a 320i? most of the tourings are 320i as thats the tax bracket they fall into in the UK etc. If i remember right all the suspension underneath in a touring is 325i spec regardless of the engine up front. Probably easier to put a B25 engine in or maybe an M5x engine than it is to source Touring specific parts like tailgates, interior bits etc. Look for a good body and look at the engine after that.
  19. not that i have bothered to call around yet, but still looking!
  20. yep i did when replacing the window reg a few weeks back, lucky i have a scanner here
  21. just keep driving. He will learn not to do it again.
  22. i like the E34s in that colour, have had a couple in that colour over the years. really pops with a good cut and polish etc
  23. honestly heads should roll for that fk up. most cars can safely corner at least 20 or 30 over those speeds but your truck can't!
