I designed and had our tool set made up using a 2 stage 20 ton hydraulic ram to allow us to do it on the car. Makes the job so easy and the tool never breaks or causes any damage. It will do all axle and hubs on BMW's including X5. Will also do Audi & Merc

Yes .... I know who you are

I have the sprintshift in the Merc MH which is a manual gearbox controlled by a computer and the clutch working off hydraulics. It can drive in Auto & Manual. The MH weighs in at over 3 tons and changing gears manualy and having engine braking makes driving it a dream. The 2.2 TDI engine has a sh*t load of grunt which combined with the trans makes it a pleasure to drive long distances. I must also add.... I don't hold up traffic 100kph full time no problems just need to slow down in the twisties as you would in a car. I can also run at about 15-20 kph over the recommended speeds indicated on road signs.

What would an E36 318ti M52B28 manual be worth?
B.M.W Ltd replied to Steve K-B's topic in General Discussion
It would really depend on how much you put into it Steve. I'm considering selling mine as my interests have diversified. I'd like to see at least 10k for mine -
We have only used over 30 yrs experience a white water resistant marine lubricating grease and a Wurth lubricating spray grease. A combination of both in these areas. Some of the above comments above I would disregard as being based on DIY "should I try this" and see if it works

Seeding in the wrong area, at the wrong time with the wrong partner who has different expectations with the seeding programme can cause catastrophic results to your life further down the track, and effect your ability to drive competitively in the competitive area or even sedately in an urban area in a motor vehicle .... the results of making the correct decisions as life goes on is in your hands
-
Further down that track that will happen to all of us Steve....

It was probably clogged with oil from your valve stem seal problem.... have you had this repair done yet ? I don't know of a cat delete program or "code out" option for an N46 and they also don't like after market cats...been there
