  1. Seems to be the thing to do I am selling my rental in New Plymouth as well. Thats looks like a good little renter your one.
  2. I noticed Brent you are wrecking the same car a E39 touring, a few years older than OP's. Have you sold the cup holder heater fin casing surround (rear) it has two holders in that silver wagon, if not how much? Also how much for original tool's from the kit and jack from that car.
  3. All over red, bumpers and all blasted, looks mint shot, show us the end result, clear coating?
  4. Nice lucky bugger good year, engine, body config, what more can be said buy it from ChCh?
  5. Being that you are in Auckland I would get either two of the following members on here to look at the vehicle for you Brenthartege, or *Glenn* from Botany motor works. They will sort that misfire problem out with minimal fuss and it stops the gessing game, sounds like a sensor problem to me, but hey like I said get somone who nows. Good buy well done.
  6. Mines on the brink as well, changed from disc 2 to disc 1 and it came up as Disc 00 00, I havent tried load and reload cartridge though.
  7. Dishwasher saves using the old kerosine bath to wash parts, awesome job Rot this is real good to watch keep the posts coming.
  8. Timing is everything and the longer you are welfare dependant the worse off you will be. I have a good friend in recruitment he says all be it people in work will tend to find finding a new job easier as they are gig fit and use to getting up everyday, there are lots of out of work people who turn down jobs because it's only $200 a week more than the dole, 30 minute drive to work, to early a start, $3k less per year than they wanted, they won't be the manager. etc etc I think these people are the ones targeted, to easy to swing by WINZ for a grant in the PJ's when the rego runs out on the 91 Primera, why work a when you have a few kids, both unemployed WFF, accom allowance, the ascendancy isn't there to work for some, they are simply better off not working or better still sickness bene so WINZ doesn't have to hassle them. No life though I get great satisfaction in achieving my goals and standing on my own two feet, I get great karma for it.
  9. Threads like this spell the begining of the end.
  10. Name and shame have it out like we did at intermediate school.
  11. I had to do mine not that expensive around $360 quoted BMW for alternator including tensioner, pulley and new belt, had it done for around $250 by the local, the bearing wears out and yes they get noisy mine was noisy for about 12000k before I got it done usually in the morning cold then went away. Get Glenn to do it quick easy and relatively inexpensive job if just the alternator one.
  12. Sounds like a sweet sleed man love to see the pics.

    SOLD.

Alias thats the way good view on it as far as value goes. When selling a car you ultimately must listen to the people who will buy the car not the people who never will. To some people your cars is worth $5k plus and to others you would have to pay them to buy it!!

    SOLD.

Two things, Mini's are not as good as e34's trust me on that, yes you should, my dad has had like 30 odd Mini's in all the guises you like 1275Gt, race ones, slide windows, blah blah. Second thing, find the thread on here with the 96 black E34 540i that the guy brought circa $4k, sorry someone had to say it.

  17. Thanks mate VIN WBADH620XOBZ02182 Hard to decipher o and 0 so reg number CNA28 it's on car jam the VIN. I will then submit to insurance final price.
  18. Thanks everyone might have to get another transponder, or might pay the $250 excess. Hopefully Glenn can give me an accurate estimate.
  19. Hi I had two sets of keys but lost 1 set, absolutely gutted even rung the cops and asked if they had been handed in. Anyhow anyone know what the price may be for a replacement and the easiest option available.
  20. Calculate repair cost V end sell subtract buy price. Calculate parts value less buy price. I'd wreck it.
  21. Did you see this advertised Westy http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-274030225.htm It's the E34 but look at the condition and $$$ of it.

    all good

Making reference I'm glad you mentioned the parcel tray issue Glenn, as it would be my luck to buy a E30 project or any car for that matter and the parcel shelf had been molested. Vendor "never" had a problem with it but as soon as WOF time for me comes, the inspector thinks I'm arogant or snotty, or remind him of the kid who stole his lunch at school etc, and doesn't like the look and fails it because he can, it's what happens, it just does. If people are having these passed but the law cleary states otherwise it is only a matter of time, am I correct, or do WOF guys just let it slip, close enough she'll be right? I know I sound like a kook but I have had this happen before. Just 1 example: You know those little dimples on your seatbelt they stop the buckle from sliding to the bottom of belt Yes? O.k one place would of failed me as I had no dimple and as it turned out I needed a whole new seatbelt and anchorage not cheap, anyway my local guy didn't even notice that, infact he had to reach to the floor and muck around and dig the bloody thing out never failed WOF on it.
