Facelift E39 Touring 4.4l V8 the ultimate BMW combo in my view.

What happened to the Nazi soluting punk's teeth?
-
I remeber recently someone did a test on the cables, the more expensive ones absolutely made no difference to the cheaper ones they were exactly the same my 2C.
-
Agree Bravo this is a funny read this thread, lots of new terminology and your'e an effective communicator which you need to be now a-days best of luck overseas and with your E30.

Basically they have offered you the value of the engine and gearbox, that they will sell for $3k plus and anything else off the car is a bonus for them which is how most wreckers work. They no the motor and box will sell, but will anything else, door handle inners, steering wheel etc, eventually. I would take the money or sell it to Brent for less to help with his new venture.

I did a week long road trip in my BA, great roads and scenery. I went to Blenheim overnighted as boat arrived 5pm then off to ChCh via Kaikoura(SP) that was a great drive then I went back up to Nelson via lewis pass I think it was (springs Junction) that was a wicked drive loved that, then back to blenheim, I spent two days in ChCh though. I would do it this way. Picton - Blenheim - Nelson - Greymouth - Queenstown - Wanaka - Invercargil- Dunedin - Christchurch - Kaikoura - Blenheim - Picton.

I'd work there for free on Saturdays for fuel and bits, but I'm far away.

I like it it's Kiwi and most of the dealers you have mentioned as owners are european car dealers. $11k or there abouts for a 100k example where most other of that vintage have done twice that many k's for say around $6k. It would depend on how long you will keep to me- as mentioned may be a $6k version with twice the k's will be the go, I bet there is hardly any difference between drivers feel for 100k and 250k in a well built car like the E34. Do as you say take a look and go by your gut feeling. $11k You are getting into E39 territory as well, may be not V8 - it's a hard one.

anyone want a rusty bonnet to show off there e34

Yeah I know definately not worth it, it will be insurance co policy to auction the wreck. E34's seem to be quite desirable and holding their money well, been looking for 540's and they are good money on most of them. -

Thats been chewed up and spat out!, may be they were waiting for the wanting a restoration project punter. As the saying goes in the car trade there is a bumb for every seat. -
Sweet I might PM you before I head up I need some panel work done and I'm from the Naki so I might take a look at the 3.0 and work something out. Be in the next month or so.
-
It's still in the system aye? I woudn't sell it getting rear now, hell the only one I've seen and especially for the money you wan't, it won't get you far I'd rather have that BMW any day. Does your 3.0 run?
-
No ones suggested a billy grunter either!!!
-
Geez everytime I look i come up with something different, Marina now, nah I'll stay with my viva that was my fist impression. You selling your 2500???
-
Ignore all previous comments it's a Mk2 esky can't believe you guys can't see that, sheez.
-
Crickey d*ck I have allot to learn about E36's.
-
$5-6k is more than the cars worth is it not??? Keep your wheels obviously.
-
So $2800 for panel work then paint usually $350 for bonnet and each panel you could be up to $4,000. Might pay to see what the farmer has to say my friend had the same problem and the farmer said I will fix the car himself??? Bugger of a situation really, feel for you.
-
OP did you have or have insurance? looks close to just about a write off, reason I ask as I was at a BMW wrecker yesterday and there were minor accident damaged 36's there with less damage. Just curious thats all can't help with kit query sorry.
