    HB Nathan (Brams)

Happy Birthday buddy. Might need your help taking my engine out this arvo. What a birthday present!
  4. http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48288 http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Building_a_2.8 heaps of info out there about them. hellbm might have a few kits. from my understanding use a complete FL e30 325i engine with all the motronic 1.3 management, e36 m52b28 crank with machined oil seal, m20b20 - 130mm rods attached to the FL pistons. or something around those lines.

    M325?

side skirts look more to be a hartge style. the rest of the kit is a bit of a grey area, can't recognise the other pieces. (lol just reread, has an AC front kit) just noticed on the gauge cluster the fuel gauge has the bit extra for a long range tank, so most likely is a SA. probably has LSD aswell pretty tidy though, but still wouldn't pay that much

    My E30 so far =)

sharp looking base for a m50 swap. make sure you document it well.
  8. today i learnt why my speedo had stopped counting the miles travels, someone butchered the plastic cogs most likely trying to wind it back. its a very easy process, but also very time consuming. just strip the cluster apart and turn the gold or black one durr and also squeezed another e30 into the garage today to get it ready for a wof. space was tight! red e30 - factory ride height black e30 - pussy on the pavement fellas
  9. Sorry I mean feel compared to the e30 bucket as in how well it holds your ass when you stab into a corner.
  10. is it just a coincidence that the seats fit or do the bmw designers use similar base dimension for each model in the off chance someone whats to be cleaver and retrofit it? what a great idea! awesome way of showing "look what i can do". if i could get my hands on a set i'd have them recovered half leather and half houndstooth to match my interior, just so its a bit more era suiting. how do they compare to the bucket fell of the e30 recaros?
  11. one of my e30s has been sitting for atleast 18months and i'm finally getting around to chopping it up, slow process but it's happening now. i remember it had around 20L of 95octane in it before it got parked up. now upon draining the fuel tank i noticed the colour of the petrol coming out looks like someone has drunk like a hundred cans of energy drink and pi$$ed in the tank, sort of a clear/glow in the dark yellow. i figure this is just what happens to stale petrol??? and is it alright to use in my car if i mix it with fresh 95, understanding that old fuel will be somewhere around the 5octane level and another note i found the build sheet for this car taped on top of the fuel tank, covered in dust and quite tattered. is this the normal place bmw put the build sheets? i always thought it was underneath the rear seat, not physically under the rear seat on top of the tank.

    Quick Questions

Thanks nate, funny enough I did actually spill my beer when it was sitting on the intake. Glenn, I scraped about a tablespoon of milky oil/coolant crap off the top of the rocker cover and the hose from the rocker cover to the throttle body was full of that sh*t aswell, also a little bit of moisture in the intake and TB. I did an oil change today and the oil that came out was black with no trace of anything else. But I'm still thinking it didn't help that the car semi overheated the other day from lack of coolant. I'll just have to monitor it over the next few days. Might be new headgasket time.

    Quick Questions

Silly question but is it ok to have moisture in your intake manifold?

    MY 320i E30

YUSS! Absolutly brilliant. Good job man the car looks well
  15. Fill your car with helium, that'll make it lighter. And will make you voice sound funny good times
  16. Lol sorry, I got excited and didn't read the post properly
  17. Even being a SA 325i it'll still be the standard 51mm strut, just wondered cause Nathan's one didn't come with ABS. On the back where the brake caliper bolts to, about 30mm away from the top bolt hole is there a raised flat landing or is there a 20mm-ish hole and a small threaded hole on that raised landing? If so that's for the ABS thingy Wait I think I got confused. Is it the bare shock insert or the complete strut with hub etc.
  18. Are they the non-abs ones?

    Boosting 318i

no idea man, give them a call or check the website. obviously it'll be cheaper if you just need the head, or block with/out the loom, injectors and sh*t

    Boosting 318i

There is a m10b18 auto with 170xxx kms on it at pickpart in lowerhutt if you wanted to make the trip over. Pretty sure the engine is still complete
  21. Dude I'm at tech in the hutt for 3 weeks. There's more ho's than I know what to do with. Ligit, I've been meaning to scope out greytown girls. Haha done deal my slut for your slut. Anyway man stick around long enough and you might learn something.
  22. Hey bro welcome to bimmersport, hope you have fun and enjoy your stay. I know a few ladies so i'll be sure to give them your number. Sweet ride man
  23. use a grinder and cut the bolt head off, dont be shy. had it happen to me when not using the correct torx sockets. but this was with the engine/gearbox out of the car. good luck
  24. do it yourself dude it's a relatively straight forward job. takes all of 2 seconds to remove the old screen but re-installing is like an hour if you don't have the correct tool (and no, a butterknife isn't the correct tool). it's pretty fiddly to get the window strip back in the rubber but its pretty self explainitary. also use plenty of dish-washing liquid. funny enough i just replaced the windscreen in my e30 yesterday this might/might not help http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....c=32313&hl=
