That's just way over the top. 45+ strong fleet of exotic metal from United Nations So much for global warming.

That's a very good point. I've actually set my "HOME" 2 blocks away. Anyway, after using 4 generations of Navman in the past 5 years, I have now switched to TomTom 340 about a month ago. Reason being... 1. Navman vs TomTom, both works well, but in some areas TomTom edges out and shows that TomTom did think about the users a bit more. For example, at night time my TomTom unit reflect A LOT less than the Navman on the windscreen. I can PIN lock and show owner info on the TomTom for security. 2. Navman quality is getting worse over the generations - They are not faulty, just made using lesser quality. Screen is now higher resolution but less legiable in the sun, especially comparing to the first generation iCN-series products. Maps are not as update as they say they are in Navman, I looked at the MY50 when I was deciding my upgrade, it didn't have the South Western motorway extension and some newer streets in Highbrook, which has been in use for over/almost a year where the whole range of TomTom unit has it. 3. In terms of User Interface, both TomTom and Navman are good. It does take a little getting used to especially if I am new to the brand. TomTom has more icons and options in the main screen which seems daunting at first, but now that I got used to them, they actually helps me set advance options (diversion, multi-destinations,etc..) more easily. 4. TomTom has map community to share new info which I think it's the only brand that does it. New POI, speed limit, turn restrictions, etc... are updated free of charge. -------------- Map updates... Really, before GPS comes along, how often do you buy a new map book? Rather than buying map updates, save the money and buy a new map book every year as back up.

Tried that and the Meguiar's equivalent. Both are just as good. This is a product for surface prep prior to "proper" waxing or any corrective work (like polishing). For best effect, you might want to still wax the car with something that's not "spray on".

Can you not use different profile tyres to "adjust" this difference in "real" and "displayed" speed?

That was Tom Ford try to drift it then the van gripped while it's in opposite lock then crashed into the barrier.

I can feel noticiable difference between 91 and 95 in terms of power and fuel consumption but not so much between 95 and 98/Force 10 though. I would happily pay extra for 95 over 91 but not so much for 98/Force10 over 95

Damn, still be at work when you guys start. would have been nice to be able to join. You guys have fun!

Both me and my wife liked the X1. It's something different and (relatively) affordable. Different options trim (inside and out) and wheel combination makes a big difference in its uglyness. Have to admit, it doesn't have that "sense of occasion" when I climb into the X1 compare to climb into my e46 coupe or any M-car.

You actually need to look for an oil that meet BMW LL01 (Long-Life 01) specifications. You'll find this info on the back of the engine oil packaging or you can call technical helpline for the brand of the oil that you are interested in to confirm. Couple of the oil springs to mine, Shell Helix Ultra (silver bottle), Mobil 1. There are oils that fits LL01 but at several viscosity level. You'll probably find 5W30 is a bit cheaper than 0W40 though.

Real or not it's funny as sh*t.

Is that a softtop version with hard-top or a Z4 coupe?
-
Did it still has the BMW logo on the wheel? Looks pretty good though.

Can't park a bit more forward? Really. If I had to park on the wrong side of the pump, I park where my rear window inline with the hoses. Can't see if that woman's a blonde, that would explain a lot.

Few times in town but more often in Newmarket though. Anyway, I have long been both a bit envy and admire your cars. Always clean and shiny, mods are subtle, love the plate by the way.

Well, law is the law and until they are changed, we'll have to stick with it. Besides, it won't make much of a difference in travel time. Arriving few minutes earlier vs a fine, that's a easy one.

I used to see L8APEX quite a bit in town but it was an standard M3 driven by an Asian dude, is it still him?

It depends on how much you spend with them. If you are spending hundreds per month, I am sure they would have no problem getting you a top line phone for free in exchange for a new 2 year contract. Otherwise, there were a few deals just before the XT launch, $149 credit, etc... I am pretty pure there will be more just before the CDMA shut down (2012 I think). Anyway, I am a XT customer in Auckland on business plan with an iPhone. Couldn't be happier, speed and voice quality is much better than Voda. Customer service is briliant (NZ based rep for me when I call *123). I once lost a phone and a new phone is organised for me by the next business day thru Telecom PhoneInsurance. Awesome stuff.

These car you see are more for internal consumption (not export). Laugh all you like but for the people there, they are actually pretty good. (especially for the price) Chinese car industry is still more or less a start up industry, give them 10 more year and you won't be laughing anymore. edit: typo

Nicely done, Mustang x Audi R8.

If I understand this correctly... http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/HBASE/carcr2.html (Average Crash Force) x (Crumple zone or Stopping Distance) = (Negative) (1/2 mass x velocity^2) Assuming, the man is 150 lb, 1ft stopping distance. Then the crash force is roughly 21 ton!

Tata Nano or something like that.

That's a pretty poor job for sure. I personally use an orbial polisher with generic sponge pads and Meguiar chemicals, never had any problem like this. I have done at least 10 cars for myslf, friends and family with great results. IMHO, it's not hard at all, if you use random orbital, it's hard to cause harm to the paint work. From my experience, just need to remember a few points.... 1. keep the pads clean (wash and clean when finished, sqeeze under water between doing different panals) 2. keep moving steady (so not enough heat to cause damage) 3. never concentrate on one spot (if there's a bad spot, do a few past over it.) and fast past on any edged. 4. use enouh product so it will leave an evenly thin coat behind (esp. final wax stage) but not so much that it splatters

Some of them are quite awesome. These are mega bucks commercial, One News say the ad income for Super Bowl worth something like US$350 million

Wish he was killed in the crash. Really. I probably kill myself too for turning out a kid like this.
