Looks like Bosch knew about this from way back in 2007. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1100245_bosch-knew-about-vws-defeat-device-in-2007?fbfanpage And Audi cars are amongst the cheating cars (no big surprise being in the same group companies). Given VW has just hired some big gun lawyers to represent them, it will be interesting to see how this whole thing will unfold.

I heard few weeks ago that he might be on the move from Mitzi. Might want to double check before you book.

I have no problem getting the foam itself, but trying to find a place that can custom cut a contour that's the difficult part.

They never crossed my mind. Will check it out. Any idea about the foam inserts? (sorry about the large pix, seems to default to that size on iPhone Tapatalk app)

As topic, small(-ish) engraved plastic tag with custom text. East Auckland preferred but don't really mind. Only after a couple to put my name on a few equipment cases. While on the subject, what about laser-cut foam inserts like this?

Forget couriers. Ring the freight companies (Mainfreight and the likes), being on pallet will help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very tidy. Nice score. Instrument bulbs, I bought some from Repco before, if my memory was right they are same shape as the park light except they are 3W as oppose to 5. Not sure if you took the instrument housing out before, i found that it is possible to remove it without taking off the steering wheel (just). Hope it helps. While you change the bulb, the headlight switch has a bulb to illuminate the graphics as well, but just about every e36 I driven has blown bulb in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Autostop have them but may not have all sizes in stock. They can order but not cheap. I source mine from UK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Shipito.com is what I use. Done a cat back exhaust last year with minimal problem. Took longer held in customs here while duty and tax is processed than the actual shipping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought if you don't put it in neutral before turn off the engine, it will stays in gear and won't roll away. And that you need to move the lever to neutral in order to start the engine. That's what I do in a non-M3 SMG (e46 330Ci) that I had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't worry too much about temperature range. 5W oil can cope -20 degree C quite comfortably. If it's just general use, as long as it meets API SM spec, you should be ok. If diesel and has DPF, you need low ash oil which would then be BMW LL04 or VW 507 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did say "mad looking". Seen some similar one on the e60 and older Peugeot have that mechanism that make the blade reach out a bit while wiping. Just thought they are quite a cool way to rid of the little triangle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quick rant eh? I dislike that little triangular bit between the two wiper blades that can't get to. I bought longer blades so the triangle is smaller but couldn't get rid of it completely. Why can't they make those mad looking single blade mechanism on the 90's Merc? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did you mean DOT5.1? 5 is not compatible with DOT4 systems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some American brand cars sold here are Flexfuel compatible. Dodge and Chrysler in particular. Those ones can use that E85 fuel without issue. You are right in the Ethanol does eat the rubber and seals and causing trouble in non-Flexfuel fuel system. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So really, the car dealers says 3 year free WOF with their cars really only cost them bugger all.

I meant for the club to do it of course, as a badge of honor for long time members. Saw some older people with the AA grill plaques. I guess they were for long time members?

The fact that it is still there shows there were no insurance cover on the car?

Could we commission a batch of that to be made if there are enough interest?
