shock the surrounding housing of joint with a hammer, if it doesnt budge, loosen the nut until it sits flush top of thread. wrap it in a rag, then put a larger socket over the rag, then wack it. last resort haha

get the struts to a tire shop etc. its around $30 to swap each spring if you bring them the struts assembly. i had sh*t loads of trouble with struts 1st time as well, hope you get it sorted. the tie rod and control arm joints are the worst to free up, takes practice

it all depends on the mechanic who works on your car, i had one great and one bad experience at a BMW specialist. my lesson from that was, TAKE THE CAR TO GLENN. Him and Chris are always helpful and take great pride in their work

quick questions: is it necessary to use paint cleaner before polish? i.e step 1 and 2 in the megiuars polish/wax steps. doesnt it do the same thing basically - it removes the top micro layer of paint? also, how do you tell the difference between oxidation and sun fade? i had both rear quarters sprayed nearly 2 years ago, yet the more shaded side of the car seems more "reflective" and shiny. the car's white and its a bit hard to tell cheers for any advice.

Didnt enjoy watching the mini getting ripped into pieces. What a shame destroying such a mint car. I think they should revisit some of their old ideas, like the 24hr endurance race in the e46 diesel, and making the espace faster with mods
