    COFFEE!

Drinking instant coffee because the cafe at your work isn't worth the $4.2 for an overextracted small flat white makes you a snob tbh Screaming Turtle is a nice instant coffee. Will give Avalanche Melt a go next time

Looking good! Nice and tidy. Did you find any difference with the eccentric LCAB bushes? My old ones were very worn OEM items, so don't really have a benchmark. TBH, getting a bit rough with all new links and urethane items i've been replacing (getting old )

    COFFEE!

Agreed. Amazed by how many people are labelled as "barista's"
  4. whats wrong with Ray? How can you not grin ear to ear with that in a m3 Cab awesome result
  5. Pieced back the front struts and installed Nolathane sway bar bushes. Found the easiest way to do it was by using a scissor jack underneath to lock and support the bracket, then use vice grips and a screw driver to line up the holes. Easy as | Yea Right
  6. I thought I'll share what universal boot protectors fit e30's and where I bought them. (mine were new Viaco ones, original ones should be same size) It's always a good idea to get new ones after you mangle/rip your old ones in the process of removing stubborn joints from e30 struts. These were ~$7 each, and comes with retainer spring collars. To re-attach: Tie rods: Use small cable ties to secure the top from opening during movement, use supplied retainers for the bottom Control arms: Use small cable ties to secure the top from opening during movement, use OEM original retainer for the bottom because the supplied ones won't hold it down during movement I used a lithium based grease and made sure no contaminants were inside.

    Quick Questions

Definitely control arms and tie rods for spares. The ball joints are absolutely horrible, one side comes out fine, other needs extreme persuasion. Even using an impact wrench wasnt enough of a shock to at least get them a little easier to break.

    Quick Questions

    COFFEE!

Hummingbird when i buy beans from supermarkets, because its relatively fresh, otherwise, its coffee roasted with freshest date stamp i can find (normally Eden coffee) or get my dad to bring some when he takes tour groups around NZ and try other roasts Does anyone here have a home espresso setup? I have a Sunbeam stepped burr grinder bought on special, and a Saeco Via Venezia with steam wand and non-pressurized portafilter
  10. re-ignited my hatred for e30 ball joints need a bigger hammer
  11. Pm the dude, regardless of frequency. i get email notification every time someone PM's me, and its a default setting.
  12. e30ftw (the guy who Sascha bought the car off) had them last IIRC
  13. just look at the reverse side of the gaitor/shift boot to double check, don't burn it
  14. use realOEM or BMWFan (my preference) to confirm, but yes, the part number is correct http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/25111220707/ its amazing how much info these sites give, compared to googling etc

  16. Bought it, still haven't downloaded yet, should be good. Released on the last day before mid-semester brake. Will they have de_dust2? lol
  17. Wats replacing them? were you are bunnings yesterday? spotted you and another green e30 PFL next to yours.
  18. Wondering if anyone has some they want to get rid of, before i look at retailers etc thanks.
  19. ha, yup, good observation. My rear boot leaks, enough said I cleaned it once and it was a frosty night, came back straight away
  20. Why is this? I've replaced all of my front suspension units with new/newest parts as possible on a lighter m40 engine, but it still feels vague and the steering response is poor for turn in and exit (imprecise and "off' feeling) +1 on the Integra type r (dc2), good motor and handling (just dont mind the squeaking from the interior components), but like e30's, finding a good un-molested and reasonably priced one is few and far in between.
  21. Some Jono and Ben rapping about the rowers. +1 on Bunnings being good on prices
  22. cant see link at work, but a set of 15 x 8, 4x100 steelies 0 offset widened from a Honda sold for ~600 mark a few weeks back, snagged up with buy now within a couple of days from listing. just a FYI if you do go down the path of steelies
  23. injectors costed me ~$40 cleaned each, with new Pintle Caps, o-rings, filter baskets and adjustments to make it spray in similar volumes and in good pattern.
  24. BMW owners manual says 12.5L/100km for "Urban Driving Cycle", so your mileage isn't too far off (i don't know the accuracy/legitimacy of the data) When was the last time injectors were cleaned? My cold idle got smoother (because my engine was missing slightly) and fuel economy went from around ~11.5L/100km to ~10.5L/100km (on a m401b6) after professional cleaning. Also, what fuel do you use (91, 95, 98)? etc.. Andy, what do you mean by error codes clearing etc? I saw you mention it before, does it reset meter reading of something?
