If by 'run' you mean take it on a spirited drive on some backroads, you wouldn't need to pay me.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/iClever-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Convenient-Activation/dp/B00L4Y98QI Plugs into your Aux port and cig lighter (for power) to give you BT audio and handsfree calls. I have it, it's awesome If your car has steering wheel controls you might want to look into the Grom Bluetooth kit. It takes the place of the CD stacker. Installed one on my E46 after buying online for about $150 (probably closer to $200 now thanks to the exchange rate.

Want to replace 19" BMW RFT with something better
Matth5 replied to Andrew's topic in Wheels & Tyres
I replaced my runflats with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 on my 335i (19 inch wheels too). Big improvement in ride quality, grip and confidence when cornering. Usually about $500 each for 19 inch. Mag And Tyre sell them for about $300 each if they have stock. If you need to know what tyres will fit just check the sizes written on the side of your current ones. Would be something like 255/30/19. Note your fronts might differ from the rears. If those are MSport sizes you probably have 225/35/19 on the front and 255/30/19 on the rear. Runflats can usually be repaired if the puncture is not on the sidewall and you didn't drive on them while flat, but only some places are willing to repair them. Bridgestone/Firestone outlets should do them. -
That is a very nice pair of cars to have!

The journalist writing that had a golden opportunity practically slapping them in the face to comment on the monopoly. Typical NZ Herald, weak reporting effort with no passion for their job. Probably hoping for another minor celebrity to fart on TV so they can pop it on their front page.

Spent the day reading up on BMW coding and setting up the software. After several hours of frustration I have figured out basic coding, and have enabled the daytime running lights on my E92 so they can be toggled in iDrive For some reason they were coded out from factory, a Japan thing?
-
I had to go look that up... sounds like a bloody fast little car. There's a guy asking him to swap for a Nissan Pulsar. LOL typical Trademe
-
Hardly looks like it snaps. My 335i has veered off to the side a few times when using launch control on crappy, near finished, Bridgestone runflats. Just lift off and countersteer. Maybe that guy had aids off completely, I had them reduced (DTC mode). Wheels were instantly spinning and making a smoke cloud upon takeoff, car rotated as it moved forward..and it was easily controllable. I know an M4 is more powerful but it has a limited slip diff, so shouldn't be harder. I think he was half asleep
-
I'm sure they are out there but it'll be rare. There was an E92 330i Manual MSport coupe on a while ago and I'm sure that's even more rare, I was thinking of buying it... Keep looking, don't rush and settle for an auto if you want manual!

Last owner put them on, I don't think I would have spent this much to be honest. You could get the V1s to save money and just lose damper adjustment. They're about at the highest setting which is still a fair bit lower than stock MSport, I think 1.5cm in the front and 1cm in the back. Doesn't sound like much but it makes a big difference. I haven't touched the damping as it seems to be at a good level, it's probably default but I'll check some time. Just a pain to get to the rear damper adjustment as it's hidden under the boot liner. Will also mention it felt terribly harsh in combination with the Bridgestone runflats, with some Goodyear Eagle F1s it's now a smoother ride than my co-worker's 330i with sport suspension and runflats. I have 19 inch wheels and he has 18s. I'd say look at spring/shock combinations for some better value for money. You're not racing the car right? If not, no real need to a pay a premium or sacrifice quality in order to have coilovers. Can't comment on those other coilover brands but I'm sure there are some other forum members here who can

Got KW V2s on mine, they're a great kit. Downside is you do have to put up with the extra harshness which is mainly apparent on the country roads well out of town, roads around Auckland still feel fine. The bumper will frequently be kissing the ground when going in/out of driveways and going up/down a level in parking garages so need to be extra careful or you'll damage it. Gotta watch out for the pavement or those parking barriers when parking... Do it for the handling if that's what you want, if you just do it for looks you'll regret it I think because then it's not worth the downsides.

Have to have the right (drivers) one selected. Or else the left one doesn't move, I presume in case the driver wants to adjust it. But the fault code in this case indicates there is a problem here...
-
Damn that one sounds like a great buy and potentially in excellent condition. Pity the photos suck, guy needs some help with uploading full size photos...

"Car will not be moving until genuine buyer is sort" So the car hasn't been driven since Jan 2013? Eek.

Look online in Ebay, ecstuning, Fcpeupro ect.. Might be far cheaper to import one yourself. It's not uncommon for BMW NZ to sell things at double the price of US/Euro retailers so even with shipping, customs ect you save money. If you have a second car maybe you can afford to wait for the delivery.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=719012 Says it can't be turned off. It's not exactly like a limited slip diff I think, which is maybe why it felt like an open diff to you? You can still have active steering with hydraulic steering BTW. Active steering is an option where it changes the steering ratio according to your speed. My 335i has it, really cool feature actually
-
E-Diff does not turn off. May be possible with coding. DTC mode (single DTC button push) reduces thresholds for both TC and stability control. If you have active steering, it will also kick in to do some steering corrections. This also can't be disabled.

The newer ones with the N55 single turbo motors are an improvement as far as reliability is concerned. N54s are better for enthusiasts who want to tune them for more power and are happy to spend more money on it. Very unlikely that you'll get hit with all those problems at once and I think the intervals for the water pump and HFPF there are not correct, seen many reports of them lasting several times that mileage...
-
That is just sad. Looks like one hell of an impact too!
-
You'd have to import them I think. Email VMR and they'll give you a quote, but take customs into account. NZ customs will charge GST and maybe another fee.

Just installed Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 2s on my E92 335i with 19 inch wheels. HUGE improvements over the runflats. Now my car makes the normal light thump when hitting cats eyes or bumps in the road rather than a 'WHACK' So much smoother and makes me feel more confident in the handling. These are great if you don't want to stretch the budget to Michelin PSS or something, as they're much better than the runflats and cheaper. Might buy a M Mobility kit now. Wanted the Continental kit but can't find anywhere to buy it.

E60 Motorsport front bumper getting pulled off all the time........
Matth5 replied to NUSTAD's topic in General Discussion
Did that a couple times with my E46. Has the same issue where the bumper can hook onto things when you reverse. E92 msport bumper seems better designed underneath so doesn't have this issue, although it's still rather low on mine so I just reverse park all the time so I can park further in without risking my bumper. -
Don't have too much fun with it, I've had mine for about 2 months and left rear tyre is already showing the belt in some places Shopping for new tyres already, at least it's an excuse to ditch the runflats.
-
Dropped the price a bit, down to $6800 now. Thought that might tempt someone whose watching the listing
-
The BMW one changes the sound nicely in a way the others don't. No way I'd pay $2500 for it but if I could get it cheap I'd go for it. Not keen to go the JB4 or Cobb route at this stage, don't want to start pouring money into mods. Can't really complain about the car's stock performance, it's not exactly slow MHD has no support for N55 engines currently. No telling if that will happen.
