Google tyre size calculator and use it to compare against your stock wheels to see what fitment is like. Not sure about those tyres, make sure you're not putting crap tyres on a 335i...

Saw that video recently too, worth a watch for any BMW fan. Pretty awesome comparison of all M3s.

...and even then they are still awful.

The nav isn't that great anyway. I have CIC and still end up using Google Maps navigation instead, it takes traffic into account and maps are more up to date.

Ask the rim manufacturer? Runflat does put extra stress on the rim, so if they're not strong rims they'll crack even more easily.
-
Must be super handy on the motorway though, flick them on and off to scare those slowpokes out of the fast lane

The special worked, got a decent amount of attention. She is sold, I will miss her

Orange Car appeared on Dash, Headlight Bulb Replacement?
Matth5 replied to Kaiser's topic in Maintenance
What I do if I'm not sure is take the old bulb into Repco/Supercheap, you can usually work it out by the writing on the bulb and look for an equivalent. The staff can help if you're not sure. -
Metal trim is pretty overpriced, maybe be cheaper to pay someone to wrap it. Think Carfolie does it, and other places that do wraps.

Limited special if you take it before I go on holiday, $5500 I've listed this one as an auction with fixed price. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=995122614&ed=true If it doesn't sell then the listing will be gone until I get back, then I'll probably list it at $6500 again, and have it as a weekend toy until it sells....

Not standard and the cost of getting BT with music (yes, there's a version that does calls only) added to an iDrive BMW is ridiculous. If you have an Aux input, you can get a BT Aux adapter for less than $50.

Guess you'd have you be really into your trackdays/autocrossing to spend that kind of money on a brake upgrade. Stock brakes on my 335i have no trouble reaching the limit of the tyres grip and I've got some decent tyres on, Goodyear eagle F1 Assymetric. You'd probably need at least semi-slicks to benefit from those? I worry they'd make the car feel like some of those modern twitchy little hatchbacks where it's hard to stop smoothly.

Sport mode and manual shifting loses it's charm when you're doing it in Auckland traffic at 50km/h, to be fair

Orange Car appeared on Dash, Headlight Bulb Replacement?

You need to pop the hood and you can get to it from behind. You unscrew it about 30 degrees or something like that and the bulb holder slides out. Not too hard but maybe a bit fiddly/awkward. -
I remember seeing the Trademe ad for this one, was tempting, looked like a good deal. I'm sure it's heaps of fun.

Those aircon specialists will waste your time and money, go to a BMW specialist who will fix the issue in a day at a fraction of the cost. Issue might be much simpler than you expect. I speak from experience... That car looks like it's been very well cared for, must be awesome for long trips with that V8.

I'm a fan of CSL style wheels on the M3, you can't go wrong with them

BMW Indonesia releases new lightweight 3 series racer!

Reminds me of the BMW Civic I saw in Thailand, although it was just badges, no dodgy bodywork... https://www.dropbox.com/sc/ofyqyb6vjgpad5v/AAAWlH9i7zv2jl5wS_9uH7Yca (Hard to see the badge in the pic though) -
If you were in Auckland I'd gladly let you try mine in exchange for letting me have a go in your M5

Yup the auto (steptronic) box on the 335i is one of the best I believe, torque converter is only used to pull off so there's nothing 'slush' about it. The DCT does up the fun factor though

LOL, at least it's cheaper than other possible causes of failed AC. Was given a 3K estimate to replace the evaporator in my E46 so left it and went through a summer with no AC. Bellars Motor Works had quick a look at it during an unrelated job and found it was just a faulty sensor, fixed it for about $200 and it worked fine ever since

Where are those photos taken? Great spot for a car photoshoot. That M5 looks so perfect, part of me wants it.

Yes please don't 'stance' it and ruin the handling, I cringe seeing a nice sports car that's had it's handling ruined because someone was too obsessed with making it look 'sick' BMWs are all about the handling!

Bloody coupe drivers, wouldn't see a wagon messing up like that

He might have turned them off completely? In DTC mode (reduced but not full off) the E92 is very controllable even in slides, I've had mine slide off a good 25-30 degrees when trying out launch control on crappy roads and saving it was effortless. I haven't been brave/dumb enough to turn them off completely though.
