    F20 M135i

I gave one a test drive before I bought my M5. They're a really great car, the only issue I had was the size as I already have a 1 series.
  2. I see your red interior and raise you, GOOOOOOLD. This one is actually quite a cool car. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1388079145.htm
  3. I'll take em for $1k... PM incoming.
  4. Disclaimer, I sold my W211 E55 for an M5, so read into that what you like
  5. Whoa whoa guys, I thought this was an open minded forum! I like the W210 design and the build quality was excellent. They were neck and neck back in 2000 with the M5 edging ahead in performance and handling. At $12-14k I think it's a pretty good deal compared to an $25k E39 M5. $25k buys you a W211 E55 and that would be a tough choice. The W211 E55 is a LOT faster.
  6. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/mercedesbenz/auction-1358735404.htm Very tidy old E55. Although pretty expensive I guess.
  7. You could get a 530i LCI for between 12 and 20. That's what I am looking at. $25k for a non M E60 is too rich. For $25k you would be better of going 328i, or even an F10 528i. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1317794100.htm
  8. Or one in AK for $24k http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1362350183.htm
  9. It's a nice exterior colour. Red/brown/light wood only works with the dark interior IMO. There is a bright orange E60 M5 that parks in Sky City with the plate [CRY], that might be my least favourite colour. There is also a red (hellrot?) E60 there which i though was a very unusual colour but looks quite nice. White on white would be pimping.
  10. I am up to about 7 months on mine. Not a cent spent. YMMV.
  11. Very cheap, kinda kicking myself for paying so much for mine. Oh well.
  12. Saving the discount is just shifting the time at which you make the saving...
  13. I can't see anything on Mobil's site about their 98 having ethanol in it. Do you have a reference? And my AA smart fuel only ever gets me 6 to 10c off a litre so maybe I don't use it right. Still puts it at least 15c more a litre than Mobil as they give 6c off for $40 or more purchased. The thing that got me was one day BP was $2.40 for 98. I gave up on them at that point. I still go to BP just for pies and coffee though haha.
  14. I only buy Mobil or Gull 98 now as BP price gouge with theirs. Usually always 15c more at BP than Mobil/Gull. I'm not sure if either sell 98 in Wellytown? At the moment I pay $1.96 for Mobil 98.
  15. Dunlops on my 130i have done 50,000k so far and still have another 5-10 in them. Grip on them isn't bad either. Would recommend RE003. 6 Months is terrible!
  16. Too expensive for the money I reckon. I have been looking at 328i's for only a little bit more. Use half the gas and just as fast. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1331787939.htm Or the F10 528i can be had for early mid 20's now which is great value. The F10 is soooo much newer.

It really is an amazing looking car.

    M TOY M3

    Looks great!
  19. If I could flick my car then I would grab this!! Maybe I'll tidy the old girl up to sell
  20. Yeah, blue on white or white on white is the best combo for E60 M5 I reckon. Not sure on the technical details but the M5 steering seems to be fairly static in behavior. Feels great though. The reason the M6 interior fails for me is the contrasting curves and straight lines. The E60 interior has a lot of sharp edges with gentle curves. The M6 still has a lot of the sharp edges but introduces too many tighter curves such as the centre console, dash line. Couple that with the exterior and you get impression that the whole car is bulbous and overweight light a rolled, netted pork roast.
  21. This thread makes me want to buy another E60 daily driver 550i touring please!
  22. Cool colour for sure, but I don't think it suits the M6. There is an E60 M5 that parks in Sky City that is a dark orange colour and it also doesn't suit the car at all. Maybe they would be better without the blacked out trim.
  23. The sales girls are hot though! Took them a while (days) to figure out that the Ionic Current Module on my V10 was faulty as well, even though I told them it was faulty
