Replaced transmission filter, gasket, drain, and fill plugs. Took out some old ATF, added in some new. Need to do a proper flush now the pan itself doesn't leak anymore...

Removed a pebble (from bad asphalting in Stanmore Bay) from between my rotor and backing plate. The grinding noise could be heard from blocks away.

Thinking about this all wrong. Dude's old, married with kids and finally has money to get the car he wants. He just has really bad taste in car colors. EDIT: No, dude thinks this picks up women... I still stand by my original assessment. Then again, I wouldn't know much about picking up chics anymore... last one I picked up is still around a long time later.

There is no effort. Package them how you see fit, as long as it arrives to them. I've sent back a few things and it's simple as anything. I do cheat, in that I both go to the US often-ish, and have people come from there to me (so they can bring, or take back stuff for me) but comparing the price of wipers from the FCP ($30 for my E39) versus here ($100ish) ... I'll pay shipping once a year, sure.

Buy from FCP Euro. Lifetime replacement on wear items is too good to pass up.

@JackoHey Chris, looks like you can't receive messages. I don't know how I missed this. I'd have jumped on this!

Actually... regardless of whether the dealer is genuinely mistaken or not, that is an extremely misleading advert. I don't imagine the dealer genuinely thinks it's a M3... I reported it as misleading on trademe.

This is beautiful. That looks to be in such nice condition, impressive.

@M3AN's post isn't saying for you to mod things. It's a quote from the forum software creators, suggesting it is trivial to fix the problem we're having here. My offer stands, I'll happily fix this stuff up. It'd make a difference to me, and I sit in front of a computer all day most days anyway...

Note current gen Prius (and from 2012) are plug-in hybrids too.

This comes up a lot for me, as I have a few folks whom I work with who are 'older.' Whilst it isn't an issue for me, my folks have conveyed that being 'old' in IT is serious business today and if you're over a certain age (mid-40s?) and are an 'engineer' and not 'management' people discriminate against that. References are a given. We always ask for them. Job description details or not. That said, I've never had someone give a reference who wasn't positive, so game that sh*t, it's what everyone seems to.

What year 330i? Maybe post the part number/link you're after?

What's the range on the electric motor on the 335i Active Hybrid?

How do you get the vouchers? Sign up for their newsletter? This makes me want to do my brakes sooner, rather than later! EDIT: Sorry, I don't mean to be rude. It happens without effort sometimes... Thank you so much for that link!

You can buy a cheap fob from ebay (f you send me your VIN I can tell you the kind to get) and test that. If a new fob works, the problem is the old fob, otherwise... it's expensive. EDIT: Another option is to have someone else's key, init to your car, and test. It's mild hassle for the key owner though, so it'd have to be a good mate.

Picture of your key?

I plan on doing brakes whenever my parents come from the US again. Shipping on rotors is killer though. It's almost like buying new each time on shipping alone (and we'll get taxed on that, so it'll really hurt)
-
Well, my post was half tongue-in-cheek. Note that FCPEuro's shipping... it's not that it is negotiable, but if the price seems weird, email them and they can often make the shipping costs nicer. Plus that warranty...
-
FCPEuro is the best site. Nevermind all that Schmiedmann rubbish.

Sorry, I did mean the level sensor, but I was thinking of the switch which you have already replaced anyway. There are lots of threads on this on bimmerforums, and you have tackled the right stuff. Also, the VANOS could have been the issue, I was wrong. I'll just bow out in shame now.
-
Sorry mate, the two aren't related. You may be low on oil, but I figure you've checked that. Oil pump on its way out? Does your oil level sensor work? The sensor is cheap and you can replace it easy enough at next oil change. The pump.... less cheap.

And a convertible. That's a nice toy.
