  1. The E89 is a totally different car compared to the Z3 coupe. Two generations of development in fact. Both of these cars are priced at well over the upper limit of value for money, IMO.
  2. Such hyperbole....... "watch it appreciate in value". ? Truly cringeworthy. Looks a tidy car despite this. A set of centre caps would finish it off nicely.
  3. Facinating. Thanks for posting.
  4. Over my motoring years, 52 of them as a licenced driver, I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a budgetary restraint, especially when it comes to wheels and tyres! Do it gjm.

    Octane boosters

Correct. Of course these discussions are moot, new car registrations are rising and total fuel pumped has fallen 6% 8% and 4% the last three years. And last week when we caught myself gazing with interest and contemplating a spin in a late 1990's Honda Insight, you know the all alloy hybrid built alongside the NSX, a severe caution was issued to myself, not ready to join the exodus quite yet but could be tempted. Elon Musk has a lot to answer for? And to see a Tesla rocket away from the lights effortlessly defeating all else, it is quite impressive. And impressively quiet.?

    Octane boosters

That is what the differential should be. Behind NPD is the might of Chevron / Mobil. BP cafes are good for fueling up the drivers on a roadie. Ask OP6, a frequent shopper in the cafes, not so much at the pumps?

    Octane boosters

Back in Oct 2018 when the fuel prices shot over 12 days up to 2.49 / litre for 91, the differential applied was approx 10 cents litre between 91 to 95, and BP and Mobil applied another 12 cents approx for 98 Octane. You may remember there was a tremendous public outcry, and Cindy promised a commission of inquiry, which after six months deliberation decided that to level the playing field the retailers had to display on the forecourts signage, the site pricing for 91, 95 /98 octanes, and diesel. So a slap with a wet bus ticket for the big three. Now of course fuel prices have dropped significantly, 91 octane accounts for 55 - 60 % of all petrol sales and diesel / 95 or 98 the other 25 % each, but that differential has moved wider, to as Graham points out to around 40 cents litre disparity. So effectively the fuelcos are earning less but pumping more 91, and gaining back margin lost or given away to get market share in the premium sector. Interestingly in Christchurch the two majors have either 95 or 98 at the pumps, but not both. Diesel of course seems to be loosing volume, the fuelcos don't like it, neither do the service station operators, the only people who do are people who drive or operate diesel fleets. And of the three fuel types it consistently weather the storms, and today for station operators is probably giving the operator a 35 cents litre margin. And is the bottom listed product on the signage displays that were very slow to come into prominence at the forecourt. I feel so sorry for Z / Infratil the only company here with NZ shareholders that it must report to, and am quite devoid of emotion when I read in the accounts that fuel retail is a struggle in 2020. Please someone, pass a tissue? Gaspy is quite a handy app for those of you wanting to pay less and get more bang for your buck.
  8. Try Ebay.com.au. Common diff head would have thought.
  9. Yes, look at the risk as a lender. As stated, could be negotiated down, dependent on your financial circs. or cheaper from your bank if you needed to borrow.
  10. What he said. Even and his guys do a great job with the MFactory installs especially the price
  11. As per title, 16 or 17 inch, 5x120 ET 35 to suit E36. Would consider style 32s as a second choice, tell me what you have. Thanks for reading Bill, 029 777 4006.
  12. No, been on a steady decline for since late 2018. The gloss has long gone , COVID19 has seen a lot of car owners (not only our brand) make some serious readjustments to their automotive stables. Earlier in the week a E93 M3 in Silverstone II with excellent history and recent PPI changed hands on the open market for $24.3k. IMO good buying for this VO car would be at the early $40k mark.Unfortunately having owned one, we discovered that we much prefer and love the N/A six cylinder, and found the 1M devoid of both soul, and spirit when pressing on.
  13. Yes our parcels are slowly coming through, however with the virus re-emerging in the US and Australia, and the UK it would be prudent to be less reliant on postal services and spring for courier services such as FedEx and DHL.
  14. Subbed for this. About to toss the trusty Toshiba satellite pro hdd and switch in ssd, running win10.

    Cheap 130i

Refresh my memory, think that was a German tune, (actually most of them are) I'll hunt back through your posts
  16. Its fortunate for some, moreso the diligent buyer that the BMW here in NZ community is small. And knowledgeable, well about most things BMW anyway?
  17. Bump for this deserving car.
  18. Thanks Jon. Be nice to pick up a comp spec in manual. pretty sure most of the imports were DCT. May have been one or two come in a gray cars. Cheap as chips in the UK now.
  19. Caveat Emptor I'm thinking at the moment. The car is of merchantable quality. Unlikely to find a home especially with the 135i prices falling thru the floor, along with a lot of other makes and models. Quite depressing seeing the same old cars being relisted everyday. EDIT:Tagged on Import. Written Off (Fire Damage) also due the Takata airbag recall too. Report 5D997889 - LEG868 - 2013 BMW 125I in White _ CARJAM.html
  20. Its all about the N52B3 engine...........and it wears many suits.
  21. Yeah, same guy, hardly trolling, thats a bit harsh.Too many machines in the house, forgot a password a few years back, willy sea became the alter ego of bandit. One opinion, sometimes its hard to shut willy sea up! Just as well his machine is in the office.?
  22. Same guy posting as willy sea. But one opinion. Do have a soft spot for the E36 M. Moreso if it were white, and as you see from the Bandit's sig , neither of the E36 are.
