  1. Given the choice, I’d rather the Canaries over the Azores! Both wonderful (if quiet) but I think you’d go slightly less stir crazy at the former. And I actually saw a few E30’s there.
  2. 12,819 Z4 3.0si coupés, and 4,275 Z4M coupés. You can break the numbers down a lot further LHD/RHD.
  3. lot auctions for anyone confused by a screenshot... https://rmsothebys.com/en/home/lots/mu22 The '93 318iS JTCC at less than half the price might have been the bargain of the auction though - very vague auction intel but easily identifiable car and history.
  4. You still in Auckland Huddy? Maplight and tweeters please, probably all the powerflex bushings as well.
  5. Occam's razor would suggest that this is merely a comprehensive respray rather than the vin decoder throwing out the wrong information.
  6. If the E89 had the fastback style of the E86 it would be one of the all time great BMW shapes, but I guess a slight compromise has to be made for the bonus of having the option of the roof up or down. It's as real shame that BMW didn't capitalise on the success of the GT3/E cars and do an M version, the N54 cars were a really sweet thing to drive, there definitely would have been a (small) market for breathed on engine and some grunty flairs ala the 1M.
  7. EDC switch could indicate the optional Nurburgring package, but I don’t know if that was given a specific option code? Pretty beefy camber plates nonetheless.
  8. ...Really? My E55K should have come with a towbar for the oil refinery it needed to tow around. The E63 that replaced it was positively frugal in comparison, despite the headbolts it decided to consume.
  9. There's another red one, pretty sure they might have even been for sale at the same time in 2020. The Moonstone one on Comps that Pearce Brothers had for sale recently was stunning.
  10. Well I guess the countless times I left my number on the windshield in the NW Remuera car park didn't pan out... Photos are near Wynyard Quarter, but I'm guessing the current location gives a clue as to the current owner.
  11. Nostalgia googles would have to be firmly rose tinted to spent $230K on an E46 when a 996.1 GT3 Clubsport (arguably the most collectable non RS GT3) is cheaper. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13173286 https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13634148 (not a clubsport, but just look at it, and it's 38K cheaper)
  12. Is that one of the pair of CSL's that Southern Speculators had recently or a new one? What's the craic on selling in a day @Sammo? I could have sworn the Byzanz was up for sale for $22k when Auckland was last in lockdown? I would have bitten their arm off at that price but it closed really quickly and Jacinda hadn't told us how long we needed to stay home and save lives for at that stage. As long as we're doing "intriguing back stories" is that the Byzanz that spent a couple of weeks on a chassis jig after being rolled a couple of times?
  13. Continental BMW on the shore would be worth phoning, there was a Z1 awaiting collection when I was last there, so somebody knows their way around an M20 at least. Ian Archibald maybe? https://themotorhood.com/themotorhood/twin-peaks
  14. I'd be wanting to see some pretty solid CFD analysis first.
  15. Stunning in every respect
  16. Well, it'll certainly be easier to find a better condition passenger seat... I always liked the blue over blue option 😎
  17. Was the 435d GC ever brought in NZ new? Wouldn't mind that being my next daily...
  18. Genuinely looks like E46 Grey Green.
  19. what's with the lazy resprays on red cars? Both this and the iS have had the black stonechip on the rockers and rear valance sprayed over.
  20. $120USD for the pair from Bimmerworld... Not bad!
  21. Jesus Toronto Red looks ace. Add it to Brilliant / Mugello / Misano as all time great M car reds.
  22. Seeing kiwi new E87 130i's or E90 335's with halogens always make me laugh. Top spec model and candles for headlights!? I think the biggest gripe I have would be that kiwi new cars almost always have a poverty pack stereo option. So rare to see Hi-Fi or HK systems, let alone Individual audio.
  23. Nice surprise to find someone had decided to kick mine in today. Insurance company will doubtless see them as an undeclared modification, so I'd best source my own.
