  1. Damn that car was an absolute bargain considering the goodies on it.
  2. Shifter upgrade kit and transmission mounts: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assembled-by-ecs-parts/shifter-rebuild-kit/sftrbkt2/
  3. Cars still running sweet, has been on a couple of long drives recently and the drivers seat is a quite comfortable place to be. Nice sized parcel turned up this morning... ?
  4. Should update it to which ones are currently running ? Hopefully will get down to just one in the next month or so.
  5. Car has now been running for the longest period of my ownership without breaking woohoo! Completed a nice road trip up the coast today and took the Paekakariki hill road home. Car drove magnificently, the suspension and manual box was a treat on that road. Grip for days and planted the whole time. Exhaust sounds good too! Have found the bushing kit for the shifter, I already have Driveshaft guibos to fit(have to take Driveshaft out to get to shifter bushings) and will investigate trans mounts since will be in that area doing the shifter/driveshaft and that should also help with the gearshift feel/slop.
  6. You've fitted these on yours right @Jacko? Do they just bolt on, remove old discs/calipers and replace?
  7. OK, I just need the fan motor bit on the right that twists out of the heater. If you want to sell that part to me pm me a price. Idk what I'd do with a whole heater system lol
  8. Where's the resonator located for deletion, finally swapped over my supersprint backbox and its not as loud as when it was on my other 130is.
  9. Finally got round to doing the exhaust swap on the car, its been on the cards since I purchased it in December last year. Did the brake fluid at the same time. This was a both cars on the lift job, exhaust removed on my black one and stock exhaust waiting to moved over on the white 130i. Pricey SuperSprint backbox was removed, was absolutely filthy so gave it a quick general clean and then polished the tips! Came up nice and shiny. Final tightening on fitment, went and redid the tips so its got a bit of residue from the polish in this shot. Wasn't able to get a shifter bushing fitted, as the top one, which I had a new replacement for, looked alright and wasn't causing any play. There's a bit of side-to-side movement in the gearshift that I'd like to remove So will be on the lookout for a full shifter bushing kit to be fitted up. Have now done all the things that were pressing on the car so will enjoy it for a while, hopefully move on my other two then start looking into shifter bushings and tidying the outside of car with some dent removal and cut and polish.
  10. As above, big circular fan that sits behind the glove box, part number 64119227671. Number 1 on the diagram below.
  11. Guess who's back... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=2709745825&tm=email&et=45&mt=F909EDC8-3C14-49CC-9D87-FCE0B397F44E Obviously didn't like that 7k winning bid
  12. Ordered my 3rd Coolant temp sensor in 3 months, this time from Pelican Parts. First two, both ebay sellers failed to even ship the sensor, and had to wait a month before being able to request a refund. Hopefully this time it actually arrives ? Car will be up for sale once its installed.
  13. dang, got any more right hand drive gaiters?
  14. How much for the shift knob or the leather gaiter on the 130i Brent?
  15. It's a bmw car club thing, so was posted there first, but it's also now been posted in the meet ups part of bimmersport.
  16. Haha yeah, I did post in the right thread lol I know you were keen on the E81 2 door, that will be the next for sale(again ?). Just waiting on the footwell module to be fixed(coming back this week) and new wheels/tyres fitted(208M set). Decided I'll keep the white one, I enjoy manual far too much.
  17. Wow nearly a year between updates, this has been my daily driver while the other 130is have not been working. So, most of this year ? Recently had new spark plugs and a coil done on it. Fresh WoF today. Now that my manual one is working again I will be selling it shortly, just waiting on a coolant temp sensor to arrive to be fitted. If anyone's keen on it flick me a pm. Runs mint, looks good with the cut and polish. Been well taken care of all its life in NZ, have a thick book of service history from previous owners and myself.
  18. Got a WoF today, VTNZ with no issues. Did have a note on the sheet to talk to the guy who did it, he said it's a nice car but my right fog light is too high and needs adjusting. Will add that to the list of stuff that will get done in a couple of weeks(exhaust/wheels/brake fluid). Car is still running sweet, will be at cars and coffee in Welly on Sat arvo, so will hopefully see a few people there. Maybe another 130i? I know @IainR and @Driftit are local.
  19. Had some time today, so swapped in the rest of the coils. Seems like it's running a bit smoother, and pulling more through the rev range. Might be placebo effect ? Old coils I tried to date and looks like they were not originals but definitely at least several years old from what I could get from the manufacturers numbers on a couple of them. The rubber boots on the new coils were much softer and flexible so a sign they had been in there a while. I also took the time to clean the engine bay plastics since I'd been in there a few times in the last month or so, hopefully this is the last time for while that I'm in there. I only took a photo of the engine cover which I cleaned first, the back half that's normally covered on it was particularly bad, cleaned up quite nicely.
  20. Cars still running strong. I think this is now the longest period of time it's run with no issues since I bought it. Two Delphi coils came in today, will be going into the car on the weekend along with the others provided by @Jacko. It still has original coils so fresh set will be more peace of mind. Have also been for an alignment, used the sheet in the other 130i thread as a guide so it's slightly pointer than standard. Feels really nice. At the same time did a paint touch up and sand on all wheels. They're looking much better with no visible stone chips now. Average pic below but this wheel had curbing(my fault) and stone chips previous. Will do a further sand and paint in a couple weeks to get them even better now that we know the paint match is good. Plus will hopefully be fitting my supersprint back box on at the same time. Also tested the brake fluid while waiting and found its bad so will change that. Next up is a new wof, hopefully that shouldn't be an issue.
  21. That was the one off Facebook, he put it on trademe after all the comments calling out the front bumper lol
  22. If you're thinking of buying a 130i try driving a manual as well as an auto. Definitely a different experience. Both good though.
  23. Also as someone who's chased a vvt issue, if you've done the vvt motor and reset properly, make sure spark plugs are OK and new coils(decent ones) before doing anything else. Coils seem to have fixed my vvt issue. If you still have issues after pm me as I've changed the electronics module and fuses too for the valvetronic so can give you part numbers and where located etc.
