Plastic steering wheel insert in good nick Brent? How much?
-
Definitely priced it to sell, considering the kms and condition. Gives a good market price point for mine considering how similar they are 😂
-
I actually have a spare set of calipers from @Jacko I'd forgotten about, which is why I'm now going to do the stock brakes. I've ordered discs now so it's happening 😅
-
So I'm leaning towards sticking with oem brakes, rebuilding the calipers if needed, and new discs with upgraded pads. Can get everything new including sensors etc and it's a third of the price. It seems like good front brake pads for the 130i are hard to find, found some nice rears but no joy in the front unless I go with Centric? ceramic pads. They any good? Are E46 M3 pads the same size as stock?

Looking for some 130i brake advice, I know a couple of members have upgraded to bigger brakes, @Jacko and @M3AN come to mind. I'm thinking either a bolt on brake upgrade, that I don't need to code in if possible, which I would get calipers and or rotors used(or buy new rotors) from a 335d? Or 335i? Or M135i? Or get caliper rebuild kit/s and get new stock rotors. I'm looking for the rotor sizes for stock and for the upgrade versions, and any other parts, or tips, I will potentially need (brake lines/brake sensors?) to do a full brake refresh.

Bastards, did they do any damage inside?

Fitted another interior piece over the weekend courtesy of @Matt Looks and feels awesome, goes well with the bmw performance alcantara bits on the handbrake and shifter. Doesn't match my fauxcantara mirror though 🤣 Have barely driven the car this year, so only noticed that the headlining sagging has gotten much worse since last time I checked it so I've booked it in to be replaced. Not cheap :S Swapped the BMW Performance shifter knob back to the stock and its a million times better. The BMWP knob looks great but its way too small for my hand. Still have an intake boot to fit on the car, and the oil pan gasket/engine mounts might finally get done soon. Though I've said that a couple of times. Here's hoping anyway 🤞

Just booked mine in to get the headlining replaced, won't get in for a month down here in Wellington. That's a good price.
-
I've seen this at the bmw car club meets and it's so nice, sounds fantastic too.
-
Yeah I was first owner in NZ, there's a thread on here about it
-
Was with him a couple times with multiple frms, from what I learned later after it was sold.
-
Awesome upgrade man, I've wanted the temp gauge on mine for a while now but always thought it would be tricky to swap. And promo can make it work... guess I need to look out for a cluster! Will any cluster work?
-
What could have been 😢, multiple frms later and still not working properly. Seems like more money/time has been poured into it without success.
-
Definitely buy it, so I can put my insurance valuation up 😂
-
Real Enkei's as well? Not bad for $8.5k
-
Yeah I noticed it was well worn on the wheel and gear shifter, worse than mine that has done more kms.
-
Sex. What's up with the 120i exhaust tip on it?
-
I used to have 3 of them, they're probably big fans too from the listings.
-
I would be seriously considering buying this if it was manual. Nice car
-
To follow up on this, the same people have listed another silver manual 130i with lower kms on trademe. They should be in the thread with that much 130i love https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/search?member_listing=1952262
-
Think it was listed at 9k initially. Looks like it's price has been dropped to try and sell. Nothing nefarious there but given the kms and age it's got a few potentials for a big repair bill: Clutch, PCV, Vanos Solenoids, Coils, suspension and bushings, engine/gearbox mounts, Various Gaskets for oil leaks etc.

Yeah, the BMW Performance shifter looks really nice, especially with aluminium trim kit. But it's quite small in hand compared to the standard shifter. Feels like a child's toy. I've gotten used to it but would definitely take a stock one over it in terms of shift feel. One of these days I'll order the zhp but I'm barely driving my car atm.

I've had one of those sitting here ready to install for a couple months now, not a speed and cool one but a Turner Motorsports. Any differences with it installed? How easy was it to put in?
