  1. @325iRod I think the stock NZ M325i / Mtechnic package was 20mm front and 14.5mm rear - mine came with older model non-adjustable Whiteline bars 22mm and 16mm. I think the new whiteline bars are now 24mm and 16mm. Its handling damn good for an old girl now, especially with new sticky tyres. Once I do Control arms, tierods, CABs, subframe, RTABs it should be significantly better - as you would bloody hope haha
  2. Nice, I have a 16" rear bar on mine (22mm front) but wouldn't mind it having a 'tighter arse' so will do the RTABs / subframe / diff bush sometime this year. For subframe I imagine 80a poly would be fine, will likely stick to OEM for diff carrier. Weitz Industries (Hamilton) have a rear sway - presume its 12mm though https://weitzindustries.com/collections/e30-suspension/products/e30-rear-sway-bar?variant=35081111077022 Edit: sorry, its actually out of stock...
  3. Hmmmmm... this or an F31 330d, an E46 M3 and a nice E30 🤔
  4. Haha I’ve had your tools in the boot for a month 😬 its still a bit lower than it was then too
  5. Put in some additional / thicker spring pads in the E30 front and rear to raise it 5-10mm all-round, along with new front brake pads while I was at it. Subtle changes - Extra 6mm rear spring pads in the rear and added 9mm and 3mm front spring shims - fair bit of work but I'm *very* happy with it now - ride height is aesthetically perfect for me - its still quite low, but getting in and out of my driveway now is less of a challenge (still scrapes if not careful but margin of error is higher now). Height is very even now, with the 16's and Ad08Rs filling out the arches perfectly.
  6. Cheers man, this will be an outsourced maintenance car unless it’s something minor - got an Autosure ‘Extreme Plus’ warranty that covers everything but the kitchen sink (And DPF)
  7. Tidied her up for some 'for sale' photos - has been faultless since the big service in October and cleaned up really nice. Will be putting it on TM, should be a good deal for someone wanting to look a bit flash on a budget as we took all the big maintenance hits on it for the next while!
  8. Ahhh good to know! I have not seen them in the flesh and assumed it was a different skirt
  9. More fearless buying by @Kees 😂
  10. @Gaz I did see there are vinyl decals to mimic the M performance skirt look, just wasn’t sure how they would look IRL - would help the fat belly look a bit though
  11. Picked up the new sensible car / wifes daily - 2014 F31 320d MSport in Alpinweiss III. I've always thought BMW do the best looking wagons, so stoked to have one in the fleet in a great looking, low maintenance colour. Fresh import 76km and in absolutely fantastic condition - I don't know how the Japanese manage to keep their cars in such amazing shape?! Early days, but really loving the look and the M Sport interior. Powertrain is plenty in the real world, definitely sounds like a diesel at idle but meh - seems pretty damn efficient! 'Modern' cars are bloody nice with all the fruit for sure. Comfort access / electric tailgate etc. Came on new staggered 19" BMW replica wheels of some sort (anyone know what style?) and some cheapo tyres, but the fitment is excellent and it looks good - may upgrade the tyres in due course but they are brand new and already overspent a little on the car. Plans for it so far (most parts en-route) are: Euro Plate Black Kidneys Black Mirror Caps Paint or wrap the M Performance style front splitter black (AKA sacrificial bumper) Floor mats (didn't come with any) Tints(?) wanting the black and white look and seems to have very light factory tints - look dark in the shade but very light in daylight Wireless Carplay Bimmercode to do all the custom options / disclaimer deletes etc Looking forward to doing some road trips in this!
  12. @Contrails dude is trying to sell it already for $9900
  13. Thanks - I'm very happy - I do think the tyres help as well with a nice beefy square sidewall filling out the arches a bit.
  14. No one there on Easter Friday?
  15. Exciting morning for me yesterday - new wheels and tyres went on finally. Maxilite Alpina wheels in 16x7 ET28 and 16x8 ET28 with Yokohama AD08R's in 205/50 and 225/45. Absolutely stoked - wheels look fantastic and fitment is great, probably pushing it about as far as practical without rubbing / rolling. I am probably going to raise it 5-10mm all-round over Easter - it looks great but is a wee bit impractical at this height. The tyres look super aggressive as well and the car is feeling significantly more planted and turns much sharper without an obvious NVH impact (the 205/55/15's were old RE002's). Car has not been aligned but tracks much straighter, will be aligning once new control arms, CAB's and tie-rods go in soon - should be handling far better than I could ever exploit by then. Obligatory photoshoot.
  16. Yeah, I think it’s down as an xdrive which has slightly higher emissions pushing it over the threshold…
  17. Does anyone know what the 'official source of truth' is for car model CO2 emissions used to calculate the new April clean car rebates? Hoping its not the 'Right Car' website as their info appears either incomplete or at odds with most other figures online. Trying to get a rebate for the 2014 320d which should have emissions in the 130 range.
  18. @brutus PM'd if you have anything for sport seats in 0269 or 0379.
  19. @Kees yeah, they added that I think after people used them to stalk women. If it gave you 24 hours of tracking first could be worthwhile for $50. Cheap GPS trackers are available from about $200 but they need a sim and to be hard wired to car and are much more bulky.
  20. Yeah worth a go maybe - I know there were some recent(?) changes with them to stop stalkers / thieves to use the for tracking people unknowingly but could be hidden easily and battery lasts a year or so?
  21. Quick Monday afternoon mod: Swapped out my stiff, notchy, ghetto ‘short shifter’ that came with the car. Put in a new BMW Z3 1.9 lever with a new shifter cup, fresh redline MTL and a clutch stop. Huge difference for the small amount of time and money invested. Shifts are now short, firm and precise but with far less notchiness and it is much easier to get into reverse / 2nd gear downshifts etc. Will get the shifter bushings done sometime later in the year - likely an outsourced job though. Images of the old ghetto shifter with bolt on extension to shorten throw.
  22. What's the go-to GPS tracker? My M325i is always in CBD / Supermarket / Mall carparks with its 20 year old alarm immobiliser and $25 steering wheel lock...
  23. I took the M325i out in that rain storm, not a good idea in hindsight as some unavoidable standing water got the distributor cap a little moist but its all fine now - was already on the 'replace list' with plug wires. While I definitely wouldn't do it again - or leave the house - had no idea how bad it actually was out there. I do love having a usable modern classic - if I had the luxury of a genuine sunny day car I would be looking at something like an Alfa GTV or Lotus Elan.
  24. Engine rebuild in 2019 though. But yeah, kind of caps the ceiling a little for folks who want a garage ornament. Disclaimer - I am biased as I have a daily driven M325i pushing 400,000km 🤣
  25. Absolutely stunning Polaris 1990 M325i just went up on FB if anyone is looking. $59k but looks worth it TBH - immaculate with plenty of money spent in the right areas. No sunroof.
