Put some 95 in it and it will wheel spin in 4th 🤣
  2. Will likely sell as its a sweet looking wagon but for $15K a WOF and decent tyres would be nice. Are those 18x8 or 18x9? Certed for 8J.
  3. Not sure if it would suit your application but Autowatch (Good) and Mongoose (Cheap) have Transponder immobiliser systems designed specifically for automotive use. Not sure how going keyless would work to unlock the door - could just get an aftermarket immobiliser / alarm and use the fob to unlock the car and disarm the immobiliser then button to start? Transponder immobiliser only: http://www.autowatch.co.nz/Vehicle+Security+Products/Car+Alarms++Immobilisers/573PPI+Transponder+Immobiliser.html Immobiliser with remote unlocking: http://www.autowatch.co.nz/Vehicle+Security+Products/Car+Alarms++Immobilisers/446Ri+Remote+Immobiliser.html Not sure how insurers look at this kind of thing?
  4. I'm sure it could be coded out - would be the first thing I would do if I ever need to buy a car with this 'wonderful feature'.
  5. I'm with Provident and Yes unfortunately - two excesses.
  6. Hard to say - recently a couple of sets of 16x7 (one was 4x100 and one was 5x120) sold for $3,500ish pretty quickly - they were fully refurbed though. Not sure if 17" 5x120 is less desirable or not - 4x100 wheels certainly are subject to E30 tax - would expect to be $2500ish though? New decent quality reps in this size are about $1900 plus shipping and tax - these would need tidying up but are the real thing.
  7. @E30 325i Rag-Top Exactly! better than burying ones head in the sand... I'm pretty comfortable with the extent of my findings (sunroof part excepted which I'm aware will cost $$$) - for boot I think I'll clean properly and treat it and plug the holes for now then get it welded and a new seal later this year when I'm getting the other 'serious' work done (sunroof tray / boot lid).
  8. Hell BM is the man for this. Edit: Sorry, saw you are in WGN
  9. Let me guess, it was a debadged 320i
  10. On firewall at the end of the valve cover - enjoy haha https://blog.fcpeuro.com/how-to-clean-out-replace-the-sunroof-drain-port-on-a-bmw-e30
  11. Must have been in a masochistic mood as finally got around to doing a proactive ‘rust hunt’ in the E30. I already need to get some professional work done on the sunroof / tray / boot lid later in the year as funds allow but I wanted to go through and find anything else I can clean up and treat myself to nip in bud. Findings (presumably typical): Bit of surface rust on front jacking points Small patch of surface rust on firewall below my well and truly buggered ‘Elephant drain’ but came off easily with a wire brush. Reasonable amount of surface rust on boot seal ‘seam’ including a small area that I managed to turn into a couple of little holes. Will get this all cleaned up well, treated and order a new drain and boot seal. Not sure on approach with the little holes on the boot seal area (about a 1/3rd pea size) - would bog work here just to plug the hole, or would welding be best?
  12. Happy New Year mate - can’t seem to message you direct. My delayed FCP order finally arrived so still keen to borrow those tools if possible?

  14. Gotta be one of the best maintained 330ci's in NZ 👌
  15. Went through the window seal (the slot the window slides into) or this job - I assumed they would remove trim too - worth getting someone to take a look, if the paint is unbroken they can do some pretty impressive stuff, most charge per panel I think - $100-150 depending on number dents / complexity. My drivers door is still the worst panel on the car, but without the eye catching dents in your eyeline, you're less inclined to notice and then 'zoom in' on the other flaws.
  16. Got some paintless dent removal done on the E30 this morning - drivers door had about 6 pin dents in a row which looked terrible and drew attention to the other flaws in the panel (chips / poor repair work) - Pete from Dent Magician got them out efficiently for $140 despite access being an issue (upper door where there is a double skin). Very impressed, although now I'm aware of some less obvious ones that I barely saw before haha. After a DIY paint correction and tidying a few trim pieces next month, should be good enough until I get a bunch of painting done later in the year and try to get it to a 9/10 kind of level. Currently she is far from perfect, but overall looking very sharp for a 400,000km 33 year old.
  17. @E28E30 looking good! Black vinyl for the red mirrors maybe?
  18. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/mg/mgb/listing/3418092402?bof=y30EdYqw Electric MGB, that 120km range 'depending how you drive' though haha
  19. I’m not even into burnouts but this is so savage from 11:40
  20. Bet this thing screams! Wicked car - was chatting to owner on FB while I was looking a few months back but wasn't for sale then, or I would have been all over it. 217hp without stroking must be pushing the ceiling of the B25? wonder how a 302 cam would be on the street... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/3422419440?bof=LmldbBpU
  21. Thanks mate! It definitely is good enough to look great in for photos now but still be some time before it’s at the level I want it (roof / boot and drivers door have plenty of defects). I really rate everything Carpro does - for a minor correction I would suggestion Fixer as a one step polish (remove minor swirls and scratches while leaving a great finish). For heavier scratches / a two stage correction I’m going to be trying out their Clear Cut compound and Essence to finish (highly glossy finishing polish with some SiO2 sealant in it).
  22. My FCP order finally arrived with all my fresh badges etc - installed new M badges / boot Roundel / 325i letters and new front grilles - so much better. Also did my first polish on it with CarPro Fixer - fantastic one stage product - decent cutting power but leaves a glossy finish. Took some decent clear coat scratches out despite being just a hand job 😬 Finished with some CarPro Hydro2 - Plenty of room for improvement but definitely looking ‘good enough’ for now. Drivers door desperately needs some paintless dent removal to tide me over till I get half the car painted post rust work later in 2022. Looking forward to moving back to our house in Feb where I’ll have a dedicated space to really get cracking with this car - will be buying a decent DA polisher and doing a 2 stage paint correction ASAP amongst a million other things 🤣
  23. Looks very similar to my old Supersprint?
  24. Did a little refurb on my Mtech 1 wheel - disassembled and re-dyed the original (good condition but faded) leather and centre section with Colour Lock Leather Fresh which came up fantastic - retained original texture but evened out wear and colour fading etc. Finished off crispy OEM roundel and ///M colour badge - looks great for only $100 or so spent. I do like the Tech 1 wheel but Will be keen to trade up to a 370mm Mtech 2 in near future however as I believe that is what was originally optioned on the car (although not sure why someone would swap out on a Tech 2 M325i?)
