    Laptops

I benchmarked my Dell 15z with a HDD vs my mate's identical spec one with SSD. I'd had mine longer and it had more crap on it as well. Mine boot to the login screen a split second before his. Loading programs / writing to the SSD there are performance advantages. But not apparently in the boot times. (i was as surprised as my mate was).
  10. i'd say it works like the sport button in my M5. Snappier throttle response when pushed. (probably why it's not available for my model car) You can feel the difference. However in normal driving I find it makes you really have to concentrate on throttle input for a smooth ride. It's really sensitive so I don't bother with it. If you track your car it might be worth a go. Not sure if it would be worth that $ tag tho.
  11. Nikita is correct. AP's you have all the control. Just like making a manual payment except you don't have to remember to do it. You can cancel / change at anytime upto a set timeframe just before payment is due to be processed. I work for a large NZ bank.
  12. no idea. but knowing Turner's race heritage i'd believe it.
  13. anyone in welly's? just don't have the time to drive up to auck
  14. http://www.speed.co.nz/ my mate Issac always sorts me sharp pricing. Oh... and welcome. Nice to have another E39 on the board.

If anyone would like to produce a 'how to' vid or just document a wrap that would be cool. I'd love to know how hard, what/how much to buy and any tricks / tips....

    smartphones

I'm in the market for a new smartphone. My old iPhone 3G is dying a slow and painful (for me) death. I'm thinking about the new iPhone 5 when it's released although I'm no fanboy. I've had a brief look at the Galaxy 2 and it's not bad. What does everyone think? IOS or Andriod ? & which handset is better? Does anyone have a Galaxy 3?

    Opinions please

isn't there a form you fill out when you sell the car? It goes to the post shop then you have no further legal liability. I thought that's how it worked....(then again I haven't sold a car in awhile)
  22. well my 10 year old gearbox feels as fresh as the day it came out of the factory.
