  1. Headers HPC coated this week - fitting back on tomorrow!!
  2. Aside from the issues above, I would also put in some resonators in place, maybe a pair of small stainless magnaflow 4" round mufflers just to avoid getting any rattles in the rest of the stock system which could happen, Cats do tend to suppress some noise so they actually end up like small mufflers. It could sound ok with out them, giving a bit more rumble (which would be good), but it could also make the rest of the mid section or rear mufflers get some nasty rattles, drones or 'twang' notes.
  3. This would be quite impressive for a road car in factory production But this technology has been displayed nearly a decade ago, Bose retrofitted a similar sort of system in the Lexus LS400 as some sort of showcase demo..
  4. Yeah, nothing can replace live action stunts in films, it's just never the same with CGI.
  5. I love the Ronin car chases the most (accept for the Mercedes 450 6.9 bit with the fake CGI smoke) The car sounds were spot on and music was kept to a minimum.
  6. Looks factory, nice. Whats with the taped headlights, going racing??
  7. Yeah apparently Lamborghini engineers wanted to ditch the dated SOHC 20v push rod setup for DOHC heads with gear/chain driven cams but the Chrysler team wanted to keep costs down so they weren't able to develop it further.
  8. What a shame most of the pictures are gone, at least there are a couple in the second thread. It looked really good back then, clean and original with tasteful mods.
  9. Very nice! What a guy Ed, I wish my dad took me track racing when I was that age!
  10. Questionable, but according to a quote on wikipedia "The engine weighed 711 lb (323 kg) and produced 400 bhp (300 kW) at 4600 rpm and 465 lb·ft (630 N·m) at 3600 rpm " This looks like a mid 90s engine. Apparently they were derived from a V10 Iron truck engine & developed by Chrysler owned Lamborghini to make an alloy block & head version of the engine.
  11. How bizarre. How would something like this end up here? Dealer repair that had the motor brought in and not fitted? Hmmm E30 conversion.... you would want to make it sit far back as possible with a modified firewall, maybe an E36 or E46 would be a better chassis.

    E36

Yes, it looks like one of those raped e36 that have been to hell and back.

    X5 Ute

Very nice, only part that ruins it for me are the slats on the bonnet... Come to think of it this looks like a VE Commodore ute..
  14. Indeed. I bought some M3 parts from them about this time last year, very good service & pretty competitive prices.
  15. Nice, care to share what service you will go with & what cost it is?
  16. I used to watch it with anticipation years ago, not sure I'll bother watching this season until it pops up on Prime.
  17. Welcome Adrian. Sounds interesting, feel free to post some pictures. Always good to see a well preserved E36 with so many doggy ones around!
  18. Eh, all these wrecked M5 V8s. Seem to be getting more common. Will this second project be a hardtop M3?
  19. HA. Trust stuff to cover something like this.
  20. Quite nice, but they remind me of a Hyundai to be honest.
  21. I think the convenience and wide range counters the shipping costs if you buy in a smart way (not heavy suspension items for example) My last package was around $50 USD and quite large, but light. I only tend to get in under $250 USD of items at once to avoid the NZ GST charge. *
  22. Haha indeed, I've heard you driving past me on Campbell Road.
  23. Clearly he just watch Ronin..
