  1. I'm not sure if they suit an E46 Touring to be honnest. Hmmm

I don't think theres a model of car without his engine being thrown in. So many conversions all over the show.
  3. Probably best to get or make some nice headers in dual 3-1 style, linked to an OEM M3 mid section with twin cats and twin resonators/balancing H pipes running twin pipes to a free flow muffler, the rear box is the key IMO, so either get an off the shelf one, but they aren't cheap 500-1500. Or get a stock M3 one, open it up around the body seam. Remove all the guts, and link the inlets to the outlets with quality perforated stainless steel tube of a thicker gauge, and pack the muffler with quality exhaust noise absorbing packing, there are a bunch of different types from what I've seen. Then weld it back up... should work well. The trick is to get it right to reduce any raspy notes, but that is the nature of these I6 motors so it's hard to avoid.
  4. Wow, that's a hefty tree to have fall. :S Cheers Kyu. I got the oem clips for the pins around the edge of the grille cut out that hold it in place, the side ones pushed on easily but the top ones were a bit harder, only because I had to fit it with the bumper attached, it would be much easier with it off the car but I got it sorted. Only took 2 years haha.
  5. Bit of both, more caster and camber up front, and larger components, even hub bearings are larger.
  6. Haha, thank you Kyu. This is too right, condition over ks any day ^ Getting an E36 with the Motorsport kit is a must, my only regret with mine is that it was a non M version so I've had to add a kit together, seems easy enough but practically it ends up costing around $1500-2000 once you get all the correct bumpers and add on top the paint & the right mounting part costs. Same goes for the interior, expect to have to replace or repair trim and cloth on the door cars, and roof linings. Suspension wise, I'd be inclined to suggest you stick with rubber M3 bushes or similar, those nolathane ones are HARD and do really make a for an uncomfortable ride/feel, direct sure, ideal on a track but not if it's mostly going to be on the public roads. You might also need to do the tie rods and lower control arms, those aren't cheap if you want the OEM quality and life span, I recall mine were approaching $850 NZ to replace those four OEM parts with M3 ones, std type are a bit cheaper but not drastically.
  7. Those wheels are such a good match for the E39.
  8. Put the front end back together with cleaned headlights inside and out, new seals, replaced flog lights and an M-Tech lower grille. Looking much sharper!

I think because it is a BMW, it just seems so wrong.

    E34 M5

Is it viable to just remove the engine, box, and diff and then on sell the rest as an intact rolling chassis for someone to repair or restore? Maybe someone could put a M62 into it, haha.
  11. That's a pretty decent output at the wheels. Nice one.
  12. Wow, that's ridiculously frustrating. Auckland these days.
  13. Mmm costly, but I think for what they offer it's pretty competitive. Look like a decent equal length 4-1 type, backed by a 3 year warranty. Though, dyno results after tuning would be good to see.
  14. I imagine this sounds very decent with the Eisenmann muffler? They are quite a unique part and costly as you mentioned.
  15. Heh, Volvo aye, last manufacturer I expected to join! Interesting, I didn't know they were using flat plane cranks.
  16. Those are worth roughly half the car itself yeah?

    E34 M5

    Ray should buy this.
  18. Damn, that make the one I bought for 3k 18 months ago look like a terrible buy. That's a lot of car for 2k. Well done!
  19. So 4k more than the last sale price? Looks like it's had a quick wash, replacement rear badge and front indicator. What a bargain... :/

    e34 540i

I had a MALEDIVENBLAU 1993 540i a few years ago.. a rarer colour, can't be many around! I wonder if it's the same one, though the vin numbers don't seem to be the same. My old plate was EWN784, I imagine you have a different one?
  21. Great find! Some awesome pictures through out. Just too bad they aren't in English.
