I love those VW Corrado's Only 13 in the Country! No wonder I've never seen one.

    POLISHED

That's cheap. Considering the supercharger kit alone could sell for that much!
  3. You would be better just to start with a stock E36 and build it all properly from day one. I could only imagine the dodgy stuff under all that work.
  4. Well hopefully wont be too long until mines finished and ready to go on the market. Auto V8 though... and non s/c...
  5. Spotted this on Turners after a friend mentioning he saw an E36 Lexus V8 written off on the website. Shocked to see it's Jasons car......
  6. Wow that's a huge difference. It's amazing how bad neglected, dreary E36s can be, but with some TLC can really look the part.
  7. Looking good. Suppose it's lack of performance is for the best with your licence status
  8. Gotta be careful what you do on a vanos V8, I've heard you can lose power if you do the wrong kind of setup, either way, you would need to get the ECU re-tuned for the new system afterwards.

    Top Gear U.S.A

Yeah I think it's horrible. Just a generic car show with some annoying Americans yapping away that aren't even funny... too painful to watch! Only similarity is it happens to have the same show name as TG UK.
  10. The Catman in Auckland took mine for $90 each, that was the middle of last year though. He said $60 per smaller Japanese cat, and $90 for larger Euro ones. Sorry that doesn't help you being in Christchurch though.
  11. Not bad, I self flushed my 540i's gearbox... wow what a ridiculous job that was. Cost me $200 odd in fluid, $90 for a filter (I think) and another $50 for some specific tools.... for $379 that is a good spend IMO. Hows the gearbox go now?
  12. I've seen it in person. It's a monstrosity. And with that sort of power that chassis is bound to be stuffed.
  13. Sounds really good Tristan. Would like to hear it at one of the meets down the line! What brand is the rear muffler?
  14. Sporty... What did that set you back?
  15. heh, tell me about it, I think it was $1100+shipping at Woolf in Auckland for an E34 Remus, but they had the E36s on hand and were selling for $650. Steep, but it's been worth it. Yeah definitely, might be a good idea to compare the results on a dyno in one session, with the chip and without - though that is a bit of mucking around.
  16. Does anyone know what LCD TV is best for viewing GT5? A friend of mine got a 40" Samsung the other day, while playing GT5 flicker and harsh lines are quite noticeable. He's a little bit annoyed about it, but are there any LCDs that display the game better?
  17. Hmmm well I guess see how it goes. I actually sold my 540i's catalytic converters to a metal wrecker, got $180 for the pair! If I was to do the exhaust again on a 540i, I would probably just spend the money and get a Remus rear box that bolts up like I did with my 325i. I wanted a Eisenmann rear box, but that was going to be $2500 delivered... not really cost effective when it was 1/2 the cars value! Will be interesting to hear the results with the chip you bought.
  18. Hi there Steven. Make sure you get an E46 with a six!
  19. Is the rest of the exhaust stock? If it is, and you remove the cats, the rear muffler will sound a little trashy and rattly at certain rev points, it did on mine - a bit nasty, I'd put in a dual in dual out muffler, or some resonators if I was doing it again.
  20. Cool, should look much improved Tristan.
