  1. Not sure where you're getting this from. Yes, the early cars had engines based on old bmw units, but this at 40+ years old has the correct motor it was designed for.
  2. Why not just use a Toyota one? They're not that overpriced compared with the figures bandied about for a bmw manual box, in fact I'd say half the price? Or you could use the getrag 6 speed out of a turbo Supra ( that probably would be expensive).
  3. Compare apples with apples Mike. Roo's E34 is a pretty much direct comparison year on year for your engine, there's a 4kw difference, which could have been manufacturers tolerance when new. You can get good power out of either motor, 80kw is pretty optimistic for a reworked, road going motor especially without FI of some sort. Josh's S50B32 is only 64kw.
  4. Didn't the E46 M3 engines (S54?) have a bearing issue too? Bad luck Tristan, hope you can get it sorted without losing a limb.
  5. Random question, do you know where it was first sold? Hamilton?
  6. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/46436-auckland-dyno-day-results/ E34, E39, E60 V8 results and 3 or so M5s, 220-235rwkw.
  7. Are those staggered Mpars that have been polished? If the ks are genuine and there's service records, it looks cheap.
  8. This vehicle is in a damaged vehicle auction. Even if sold registered the vehicle may require additional work to get it road worthy, we strongly recommend that you view the vehicle before bidding on it or contact a Turners consultant for more information. The M3 badge looks salvageable.........
  9. March edition features the early M cars and some later ones (briefly) if anyone is interested.

  11. Lives around the corner, wondered how long before someone saw it and wanted it.
  12. I think you'll find he threw $20k on it so people wouldn't call, it was advertised for less earlier, hence sold. There is no premium for FL that I've seen and I'd never have one. A pfl with Tech 1 (yes I'm biased) is a much better looking classic car. And that's what they are, so don't tell me a fl is "more modern". It's like a more modern axe. A good one is good fun to drive, mine is manual and it's fine, it's no high performance corner carver, but then what E30 is apart from Hybrids? Good weekend fun is what they are,I wouldn't want to drive one everyday in traffic.

  14. I think you'll find it quite hard if my experience with the Falcon is anything to go by. Rule Shell out for a start.
  15. I didn't like them originally, but after getting mum one, I think they're great. They drive very well, even a 118i auto for around town.

    Parking wardens

Botany Town Centre is owned by AMP. I still think it would be an interesting case. I rent my car park, therefore it is mine, regardless of whether or not the council has been given access to the building, they don't have a right to be in my space anymore than someone who tries to park in it.

    Parking wardens

I think that's (reasonably) clear. Council owned property, yes, private, no.

Westfield do own it, just checked.

You mean the Westfield mall? Westfield will own it from memory. The council seems to have decided they can go on private land such as car parks for ticketing, they do it in the CBD. I would have thought you could argue the point that as you have rented/leased the space, it was no longer public, but private and they could sod off, but who knows?
