What Ari was getting at, is neither of your original posts added any value at all to the thread or addressed the OP's query. Your response above should have been your original, it at least quantifies your opinion, but still doesn't answer the question. Rule of thumb before being a douche on a internet forum: Have I addressed / answered the OP's question? and/or have I substantiated my opinion? No to either, don't bother posting and wasting the server space. To the OP, have a look on Realoem.com and find what the OEM manual gearbox option was. Alternatively, as Thorburn wrote, there are a few others that will 'bolt-on' but may not be the best idea. ps. Yes I am having a shitty day

Looks Mint!! BUT you need to put up a price in the FS section (per forum rules) or the forum Mods will move to the TM discussion section.

since everyone is putting their 2c in.... I would have gone for single tips on each side, per the Motorsport kitted E9* 335i/d's It is a very smart looking wagon, good work on keeping the mods tasteful.

I think so!!! Wasn't that guy from up north done for doing skids pulling out of an intersection in Te Awamutu in his E55
-
Dunlop should also have something in that size, IIRC the inlaws first Mini had them. OEM supplied SP3000e or something. Further to what bikerchris said, you also shouldn't run them on rims not made for runflat tyres either!! (if you did intend to ever run them flat that is)
-
As long as you are in the commy, just drive into them..... Pull out the road code exerpt and staple to their forehead. The examples here in wgtn, as mentioned, have sign posts / diagrams AND lane discipline markings.

Need some incar footage, 1:19 is nice and quick!!
-
Not sure if they are still made, but the Nankang EX-601 was a surprisingly good tyre, we ran them on our EVO in that size.

"Beggar's" in China with 50-large for a brand new SUV = In a country with a $4,360 NZD avarage wage (2011), whom ever branded someone's new anything a "Beggar's Edition" needs an eSlap.....

There were heaps on TradeMe not that long ago.... found this one plus this just need to add a pump and some controls
-
I like!!! And what about the torque..... Guessing up by a fair whack if you're seeing +60% power through the midrange. Are you going to try one of the cheapie W2A intercoolers from Tardme between the SC & Inlet?

Using 215/45/17 instead of 225/45/17 on front
E30-323ti replied to powerbass's topic in Wheels & Tyres
I personally wouldn't. No real 'technical' reason to back it up. The OD of the 215/245 Vs 225/245 may trigger issues with the ABS system. And $2000 for 2nd hand tyres seem way too much IMHO I use to get 245/40 Conti SCII's for $70ea with that sort of tread. you mention $600 for them, know the seller / mates rates?? -
Some how ROFLMAO doesn't quite cover it, enjoy. Product review gone viral

0.5º over stock is a bit too tight / prescriptive IMHO Presuming that motorsport authority cards won't be tasked with exemptions more geometry. How will dual use (either road car - track car, or tarmac rally - circuit car) which need over the +0.5º camber get on.... E36 is the first thing that pops to mind which typically need -3º -4º camber or roughly >2º over stock up front. *shakes fist at the bureaucracy of it all* [edit] or you just stick some tubular control arms on and say it's 'scratch built' not OE ?? [/edit]

[heading OT] Thats the same as it's been for many years, and how mine was cert'd back in '02 I'm more concerned if they start adding more fields to the cert plate / process, like the current ride height & wheel size. What next Camber Max/Min: Caster Max/Min: Toe Max/Min: Almost be asking for a vehicle specific alignment sheet based on the OE. The cops going to carry around camber gauges and toe-plates too... I can understand from a anal-facist must keep it all inside our risk profile POV But is totally negative towards dual duty cars like my own, which still drive on the road better than a T-bucket, but are well outside say +0.5° Camber over stock for example [/heading OT] I need more pics to drool over westy, the pseudo project effect is wearing off and guilt is creeping back in.

That sounds like BS, or made up by some arse clown. (I really hope) got any text / reference on this, must be more to it... and if it's the case, my E30 won't be on the road again and all of the slam'd E30/36/46's rolling on chom'es would all be illegal / uncertifiable - YAY

Try Darren [sRBMW] he brings a lot of stuff in from the UK, you might be able to convince him to add them to his next consignemnt

Project Envy Much What ^he^ said + the 1/4 bumpers pls

Looking good Steve, thanks for sharing. Is the WG going to be hanging off the front end of the manifold? Nice compact setup. What are the spec's on the KKK. The huge volute on the comp. hsg. is certainly imposing. I especially like the mass of turbine housings under the bench, they are like the skulls from some turbo eating beast....

Are you sure it is an ACS kit (or copy of)? Look like the 'optional' OEM Aero package. Which has front lip add-on's, side skirts and rear add-on's. which I can't seem to find on realoem.com [prob. the gumby factor] I have seen a couple around Wgtn, both 535i IIRC

edit: removed comments - added no value - having a grumpy/synical day

So.... Does it still have low compression on 2cyls. Not sure how the above have any relationship to solving this. Or was your mechanic just doing it wrong in the first place. The M62 is like an old P76 = FAIL

Probably just the owner who lost his mind.... Not questioning your motives/need to sell Oli.... [no need to respond either] But surely once things drop to that price, they are better off being kept? Esp. when they look/are as good as your 540. Just makes me sad, some muppet may end up with it, and I don't have the disposable cash to 'save' it from that possible fate
-
That price is almost criminal Oli. GLWS

ROFL nice analogy. But I hate to say it but, something like an E36 hasn't been expensive for a v.long time (excl M cars of course). And HP/$ a BMW engine does not make any sense if you just want something FUN. May not be purist, but most FUN things aren't
