These ones on Tardme Any idea on the weight of the rims? TSW's are notorious for being V.heavy (and soft)

There is bound to be some reduction in efficiency running the fan in reverse as the blades are generally designed to flow in one direction. eg. with my slimline spal fan, you can remove the blade and reverse if you are wanting a puller or pusher setup and maintain the same flowrate. Whether it is an issue in you application.... Joshs' setup seems to be running fine....

E30 from the pic. Would probably go through the sump on an E36.

Got one in the garage somewhere. Was bought brand new a couple of years ago and has almost no use May still have the short line & split for the front lines with it. Will look for it tomorrow and send pics if you are keen. PM me your email addy

V.pretty Do they angle down to the stock mount location on the subframe? I used a similar setup, but have the cylindrical mount on the outside of the arm. ie. further away from the heat of the engine block. This also allowed for a longitudinal gusset to be used down the tubular mounting arm. What type of bushes are use using??

Well my original one piece still had the original 180k mile E30 rear universal, which showed no signs of distress when removed. The outer CV's however where, ummmm, rooted. And that was with 100% more power & torque & big sticky 17's with 245's You can still thrash it & enjoy it, whilst having some mechanical sympathy, and things do last surprisingly well.

There was a NZ new E39 540i Touring in the classified for some time, IIRC it wa $9k with 180km on the clock looked pretty tidy, Black with Tan Leather. Wouldn't pay those $$ for an 'old' E34 Is the one in Wanganui still on TM?? IIRC it was ~$6k 220km, black E34

Certainly does GO when it's in one piece It was weighing in at 1100kg with complete interior, this has since been removed and the engine moved back ~400mm, might get it finished, again, one day. 1JZ's look at home in the E36 bay... (But so does the 1UZ I must say) I've been through a few driveshaft combo's, when last running I was using a modified 2pc from a JZA70 supra. Originally it had a front flanged 1pc 3" steel, but it started to get some strange harmonic's at ~6000rpm (or ~200kph down the straight at manfield) which put the shits up ya. I'll prob. try a 1pc shaft again now that it will be ~400mm shorter

I saw mine, it's still in the garage, and still buried under a pile of building supplies

Can you not just 'browse' to the files you wish to use/access on the iMac from the Mac Mini..... The iMac / Mac Mini should be visible from each other in the finder. This is how I share video's / music / recorded TV between my Win7 PC & MacBook, works really well. Bit different if there are OS specific software you need to use on one or the other. In which case can you not use something like Apples Remote Desktop?

That sound a bit like dejavu....... I've lost count of how many time my E30 has been off the road for preventive upgrades.... Also stopped keeping track of $$ spent, it was getting too depressing. But I do know it was $7750 the first time I got it on the road, all legal etc.. and stayed that way for a good couple of years not a bad hp/$ ratio

IIRC when the AA to comp. tests, they don't pull the plugs. They measure the current draw (or something) on the starter throught each compression cycle. So will only really tell you if there is a variance across the cylinders, not if they are ALL low for example.

I would hope, that as long as it was quieter then the imposed maximum, and didn't breach any imposed emissions, then it should be fine. You may well be ask to prove it however... After all, how many vehicles have some form of OE 'valve actuation' in the exhaust system. An old E36 328i for starters.....

Do I need a Cert if I bring a Car in on Aftermarket Coilovers?
E30-323ti replied to fred_'s topic in General Discussion
The wifes RS200 came in on coilovers, was cheaper to get certified than find complete OE shocks/springs. Not sure if the rules around compliance have changed since then however, it was 7yrs ago... -
you mean E30 weight

needed to get there in a hurry.... A friend had his Nissan Terrano stolen from the ellerslie races, was found the next day out west in a similar state. Police said it was quite common for people (drunk) to "borrow" a car after such events to get a cheap (as in free) ride home...

I'll say!!! Climb back in your internet bed and hop out the otherside would you. You've made my exact point, this is an internet forum, I don't know you, you don't know me. I may be green and from Mars for all you know, hardly makes it part of finite search criteria: "You know that plonker, in wgtn, with the E30, I think he might be from Mars.... and green...." Would probably yeild the same responses for you search above, some one in Wgth with an E30 or Akl with a CSL

Looking for these wheels OE E34 M5 wheels 17x8" et20 and rears 17
E30-323ti replied to swordfish's topic in Want to buy
I don't think Ray can match my trademe bargin of $15 for 2: 17x9" with near new OE 255 Michelins' Only one had a Turbine centre pretty fancy hub caps still I think I used up all my trademe bargin-ability in that one purchase. -
OE E46 M3 rear wheels are 18x9" et28 IIRC OE E34 M5 wheels are 17x8" et20 and rare rears are 17x9" et22 (with T-star or Turbine covers) OE E39 M-sport are 17x8" et20 and 17x9" et26 nb. 74mm centre-bore, will need hub rings Jump on realoem.com and just trawl through the BMW model range, lots of wheels there!!

Doesn't look like a std BMW part: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=...hg=51&fg=15 But may be in the Motorsport Catalog: http://www.bimmerfile.com/wp-content/uploa...6_M3Group_A.pdf Page 30: zur Erhöhung Anpressdruck / improvement of down force (nicht Gr.N und Gr.A konform/ not legal in Gr.N and Gr.A) 5100 2486060 Einbausatz Frontspoilerplatte / kit front splitter M3 GT nB nB Not sure if these are the same part used on the M3 GT sold in the UK market, which would make them available as an OEM part...... All parts should have a BMW part No. visible, as yours may well be a copy? or FRP or palin fibreglass??
