  1. Its usually the posers in poverty spec e36's that give BMW drivers the bad rep but im glad i don't commute in Auckland often
  2. Wasn't anything decent for 14" these days last time i looked
  3. Assuming you talking about a stock engine? If so id say the engine would run rich or even flood, loose fuel economy and probably loose power depending on the flow increase.
  4. Ive used the those NZAD rotors numerous times on E34's and my old E30(incl trackdays) and i can't fault them.
  5. Mostly use Paul and Gavin general maintenance\service type items. All big orders thru pelican parts as its cheaper, faster and they have a lot of stock for older BMW's which is hard to get or not available locally.
  6. Missing the front mtech bumper which is a shame. I think 5.5k give or take would be reasonable depending on actual condition If i sell mine at some point ill be wanting quite a bit more than yr average one but it will be a truly mint 535is in all areas with factory many upgrades
  7. Poo brown and the rims would put me off that one but 7-7.5k if i wanted one and it checked out.
  8. Ive bought a few cars with them on. Id rate them one of the better sh*t tyres, but at end of the day i cant say ive used many other lower end tyres for very long.
  9. Are they OEM pads or some cheap aftermarket job? Never had any problems with OEM pads squeeking Id replace the rotors, give the caliper a good clean, spray anti squeel on backs on pads and under backing plates if you have them and on the metal areas where they contact the caliper.
  10. Ive never had one apart either but it looks like your diagnosis is accurate to me. I have a number of CV axle kits with boot and steel plate etc part no:33219067906.
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390676157024 While i havent used this exact one I currently use and have used his E34 chip in many cars with good results.
  12. From what ive remember those RD bars had a bit of an understeer bias on your average street car. I think the 25\20mm work well for the usual street lowering springs+shocks. Andy:What sort of springs rates are you running on those XYZ's? An adjustable set would probably good if you wanted tweak handling characticstics
  13. If its just a daily driver id just go with a set of koni's and some decent lowering springs.
  14. Id get them overseas. Depending if its a PFL or FL you looking at around $150-200ish shipped. One of those parts its def worth getting from oversas if you want new.
  15. Comment had nothing to do with Andy comment. I misread Blue 540i's comment about it needed another round of work which i misinterpreted as engine work. End of the day the V12's are a fairly cheap engine to buy if you ever needed replacement.
  16. Im not sure why anyone wouldnt want sport seats and steering wheel to be fitted, makes quite a difference.
  17. +1 Never knew wide+blacked out looked so bad

    Wow!

If i wanted one id buy Jamez's one for 13k. I think as long as you buy a good example with everything good working order then it wouldnt give you much grief apart from the fuel bill.
  19. Get some good race fluid like Motul RBF600 and some decent front pads like Pagid S,RS blues,1166's etc, shouldnt cost you more than $500 and the rest of car should handle providing its upto standard. My experience tracking 5\7 series BMW's ive never had any real brake issues doing the usual 5\6 lap stints, most have pretty standard cars with race brake fluid & OEM pads and i dont show any mercy. While your 540i aint going to break any records your driving skill counts a good chuck too. Ive shown up quite a few should be faster cars with my 80's luxury sedan and had people come upto me surprised by it, i dont regard myself as the best around but ive always pushed to the limit and never held back.
  20. Personally id be wanting at least a '82\83 635csi with the E28 suspension and the stronger M30 engine, parts & upgrades would be alot harder to get otherwise.
  21. Have a good working sword resistor and the rest of those parts. PM if you like.
  22. I think 17x8's on an E34 are the way to go, good balance between looks, performance and comfort. Tyres are around the same price also or even cheaper than 16's but not as expensive or harsh as 18's.
  23. Ive always thought that wear rating numbers are only accurate when comparing tyres of the same manufacturer. Wouldn't surprise me if RE002 are better in the dry than 050's as they are summer performance tyre and newer tech.
