  1. Every E46 ive seen has a little picture next to the expansion tank cap showing the correct cold level. Extract from the manual anyway
  2. Didn't know there was anything wrong with it
  3. I know its not but what it was saying the procedure isnt much different for a 750
  4. Yeah if your using BMW ATF will cost a bit more but otherwise imo not that much different. Would think the E36 should cost more in theory having to pump the fluid into the sump. Guess alot of the cost comes down to what the hourly labour charge is.
  5. $400 My mate got one done there recently on his E36 318i was around $80-100 i think but he supplied the filter.
  6. Hillcrest Auto Services in Hamilton which is pretty close to you im guessing . Owner is an Ex BMW mechanic and still serves alot of his old customers. Knows his BM's very well.
  7. Pretty crap compared to the UK one in every aspect. Ive watched all the episodes upto date and dont think ill bother anymore. Yeah i hate that dude with the moustache too, reminds me of a rat

  11. I have the a proper E34 one which is just about the same as the E32 one, just doesn't cover the M70 obviously Bit of info on the E32 particularly the V12 on this site http://bmwe32.masscom.net/
  12. I have the E32 Bentley manual in scanned form, its 68mb thou
  13. Yeah was watching that one too to see what it would go for, came up just after i got mine. How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking? I got the same alloys as you and i quite like them. Should start a 750i club

    Toyo Tires

Im running 205/50 T1R on my E30. Not bad tyres im running them at 37 PSI all round to help with the sidewall flex. Reckon my Bridgestone Potenza G3's were better cept when it was wet. Still a good tyre and fairly cheap too.
  15. Yeah looks pretty clean. Are you going get some Sports Seats?. First thing i did when i got mine, world of difference.
  16. Not sure if my fuel light even works, ive had it down on the E mark and nothing. I tend to get 9-10L per 100km but ive never really had a trip where i haven't put my foot down a few times, so could probably could do better
  17. Just jump started my mates '98 318is a couple of times with just std leads and the usual precautions with no problems.
  18. There was a E34 525i in the US or Canada with around 800,000km on the clock iirc. It was a taxi at one point. Damn good for a NZ new thou.

Yeah its got self leveling rear std being an iL. Bottom on the console is ASC, sounds like your describing EDC(Electronic Damping Control) which i dont have luckily. Works fine atm but if it fails ill just have to covert it to a std setup myself.

Yeah probably get some new shocks at some point just to firm it up a bit, had some Koni SA's in my E32 730i and they were great. Yeah i agree they handle pretty good for what they are and still got good power by in this day and age. I remember a few Holden V8's getting a surprise when my mate had his one.

I got around 11-12L per 100km returning to Hamilton but i did have a few problems leaving the throttle alone hehe. Be leaving it stock as im just planning on using it for trips now and again.

Cheers Got it from Pearce Brothers Limited. Only thing it needs is new rotors soon, everything else seems well taken care of. Mate had a '89 one with 3.15 diff this has a 3.64, got the traction control light going off the line without even trying.
