and how would one go about doing that carl?
-
try and make some sense, is your clutch slipping, or not engaging? if its not engaging then its prob a slave/master cyl. if its slipping, prob clutch time i got my LuK clutch (southafrican brand) for $250 from brake and transmission in auckland...might be something similar down there, or get it from up here. BMW clutch is about 450 for the set not a hard DIY job, but first time might take a while. make sure your flywheel is in good nick too. might even want to get it lightened while your there

so they basically just drill anywhere and bolt em on where they can...before bogging holes and painting over so you cant get em out again? so c1000 for kit (i know its more but lets be generous) 1000ish for painting, and prob another 1000 for actually fitting it...plus you run the risk of it looking like ass. 3k doesnt seem that cheap if you do go ahead, mind they use screws that wont rust (stainless) so you dont have red ooze. trust me, it happens. i'm trying to think of something to solve your problem, but its not coming. buy a motorsport

6g for a 320? hell thats what i would sell my kitted 325 for. people dont care how much extras you have put into it or how much money you have spent. they look at what they can get for 6g. considering 7.5 buys you a nice pre FL motorsport..... just a little touch of reality, good luck. if you want to sell the kit separate let me know

bear in mind that glass kits often take a sh*t load to get fitting right. and it might look funky with mtech 1 skirts...you could always order whole set and get someone to take either pair off your hands depending which you like. using my glass kit as an example, the glass is sh*t quality (mat as opposed to a proper fabric) and used sh*t loads of bog to get the shape and the lowendesign, not me personally...just check out r3vlimited and e30tech....stories abound

i THINK so fairly sure the e36 m3 non evo used the same 5spd and the e46 330i i dont see why they wouldnt work, as it is basically the same engine. they do have different part numbers though give it a go

-
doable i imagine..... you would need the loom for both the car and (will correct me if im wrong) it might be easier to change the car loom as well. could prob help out, but a place to do it would be good, i got no room
-
sh*t yeah its hot....nice and subtle daves gonna have a masty 1300???? from where? sounds almost lowendesigns.com? steer clear.....everyone gets ripped off through them if you can get one though, mint

not that they would do anything much about a missing car anyway i think its a bloody stupid idea......it opens the whole ticketing scheme (bad enough as is) to every man and his dog and their (usually poor) judgement. if anyone gets this, i would definately take it to court....it relies on the schmuck who dobbed you on turning up and prosecuting....and then proving it was you driving, and you did exactly...ie it comes down to joe public's word vs joe public. it has it's merits (get idiots done for stuff police don't see) but is far too open for abuse and overly anal retentive drivers (who can't drive) to have their Very important "say" basically creates more work for everyone concerned in the everyday business of driving. and they STILL don't bother to educate drivers how to drive properly. and the denial of knowledge works well too....they can't actually prove sh*t. so don't be stupid and indict yourselves.

i love the try cliff better...donuts on gravel and then cliff? we can even video tape the whole experience and give you a t shirt...make you feel as though parting with your vehicle was a worthwhile experience. go home and tell the family

nah man that shits all gravyon with the lovin

no limiter, except by gearing or more likely the aerodynamics of a brick
-
its a pretty tough job...more fiddly than anything else. getting it back in is the hardest. repairing them ends up looking like rubbish. apparently brand new ones from BMW have the finish of the newer cars (not cheap though)
-
1300 should buy you a set of bilsteins (1000ish) and jamex 40mm or 60mm (330ish). its what im using now, a decent street setup and a good option to start off getting some track k's under your belt.
-
maximum boost is good.....highly recommended reading. conrad, sounds like andy n i will be paying you a visit sometime...good luck finding a shell
-
heel toeing round town.....i never use the clutch to take up speed difference (more than i have to). its so much better burnouts and donuts are awesome. its pointless, but so much fun.
-
suspension hardness is a matter of personal taste too...IMO my setup is fine for the street....i find having control more comfy than wallowing around my old setup felt harsher, but this one is firmer. its hard to comprehend but it really is like that. once you have been in a car with proper shocks its easier to understand...i felt the same before as well, but you do realise

its one of the 3 tabs that bolt the pump onto the block..came askew when i wasnt looking, tightened it and it snapped was trying to keep the brand new one i bought, but may just have to deal with it! so the seals will own themselves due to the heat...of course. bugger
