I just assumed that was to overcome the additional weight of the HUGE exhaust, clearly fitted to allow the immense amount of hot gasses created to exit the rear of the vehicle unrestricted. Under the right conditions, those 4 cylinders can rev very high (Accidently selected "N", but spent 15 seconds wondering "why aren't we moving? Is my spoiler caught on something again?)
