_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted August 7, 2015 Is this the left hand drive one that was for sale here in Hawkes Bay? Nah, its from the bay though. NIce find Andy. Was this on TM a while ago? only one or two owner? Have you got plans for it yet? Restore or mod? Yep it was, bit of both, would feel guilty modding it if it was a minty one already, but since its "well used" i can go to town on it a bit and have a clear concience! Drove it. In the rain. Turns out wheelspin @1xxkph in 4th is enough to sharpen the senses and clench the chute.
euroriffic 607 Report post Posted August 7, 2015 Got touring 2.0 delivered this morning, gave her the once over, then pulled the broken auto out and associated bits. Found my flywheel doesn't match the pressure plate, so on the hunt. Also, Gaz the reason why the replacement box didn't work was from miss fitting the torque converter and snapping the oil pump drive keys. Don't worry, we've all been there

euroriffic 607 Report post Posted August 14, 2015 Got a bit done on touring 2.0 this evening. Fitted m3 mirrors, pedal box, then tore it to pieces to remove old auto shifter, found an old hands free kit so pulled that out, and a guard mounted aerial stuffed into the dash. And an old m style clothing brochure featuring craig baird and his old e36

euroriffic 607 Report post Posted August 16, 2015 More fun yesterday, raped the 328i Msport coupe of it's M-ness for the touring. Great they're the same colours so swapped everything over. Also decided since the coupe didn't have a tow bar I'll use it's rear defuser on the m3 and remove it's tow bar since it says in the owners manual it's not to be fitted with a tow bar, even tho it's a factory one, so that saves a bit of weight. Just need to get some new bumper mounts from a wreak and refit it.

jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted August 16, 2015 Changed the oil and filter. Replaced the oil level sensor o ring. Got annoyed with the twit who covered it in sealant rather than replacing a $1 o ring. Gave her a bath.
Danger 31 Report post Posted August 17, 2015 Bought a cheap and rather rough 320i in the weekend that had been converted to manual, wouldn't start off the battery. Tonight I threw a new battery terminal on, fixed. Also jacked it up to find it has a ZF 5 speed.. Its way rougher than I can really be bothered dealing with but the ZF is a bonus. Not sure what I'll do with it yet.
