Mangere

That's crazy tho, must be a blown engine or something major. Insane that something like this would end up at PaP regardless.

Surprised no one’s pulled the engine yet. Nothing like a s85 with unknown history/condition

This. Unless a rod has punched a hole in the block it would probably be a good buy at those prices (using the 'Check Prices' link) summing up to <$2500 for a long block and ancillaries.

64,000kms...  I know PickaPart often get most of their info wrong.  But that would just be insane if it was true.

I went today just to have a look. Engine and gearbox were already removed - and they aren't listed in the sold section. I would say Pickapart is selling those separately - or got the car in a deal whereby they got the car minus the drivetrain.

Anything M5 specific is basically already gone. The air boxes are still there along with the alcantara headliner and the seats. Although someone has used the back seat cushion to lie on when removing the diff. Rear brakes were still there and rear axles.

Registration was MJF262 - WOF in 2020 cited 63,942km. Sad how that car only lasted 2 years here.

WOF on the windscreen was from 2021...

its always wild to me when PAP gets cars like that. Like, someone could've sold it privately for parts (or even to a proper wrecker), for way more than PAP would've given them... but no, they dumped it.

WOW - wish this was down at my local P-A-P!

Those heated / cooled seats would be worth saving for sure

SX2A9Climatized Full Leather Silverstone 2

Alcantara headlining is a worthwhile upgrade too, if in salvageable condition.

I'd also be grabbing the M5 specific under-trays for engine and gearbox.

Agreed. I recently saw a complete but rough early 90's 3L G-wagon at PAP CHCH. Randomly sitting in an aisle, incorrectly listed as a 300e or something. Couldn't believe it !  It definitely looked saveable.
It had disappeared within a week, no doubt a negotiated deal with a punter that saw the potential.
