Not a lot to add, except... would you be interested in a 116d Manual...? It's a 2.0d engine de-tuned so easy to get the power / torque back up. Pretty nippy as is with the benefit of "Feel like a proper race car driver" manual transmission...

Replaced nasty old rusty wheel bolts with nice shiny new titanium wheel bolts, must be good for at least a second off my 1/4 mile time!!

Few BMWs hanging out at the nurburgring... The i8 is a very pretty car, but I do wish they put something with a bit more horsepower in it.

Got it sorted out. Jon sleuthed it down to Cam Position Sensor hi impedance. Changed it out, all going good, hot starting issue resolved. I'm listing it for sale this weekend. I'll miss it. 65" TV in box? No worries, it'll fit in the back of the Volvo with ease. Set of wheels and tyres? twice? no worries, the Volvo will swallow it with ease. Moving house? Taking a few wool bales of garden waste to the tip? Collecting panels for your e30/e28/e34/e39/e46 etc... yep, the Volvo will handle it. Want a quick comfortable quiet sleeper that surprises the bejesus out of SS/XR8/WRX/Legacy GT drivers? 855-T5.

Hi there, in the middle of a 318i to 330i wagon swap with the m54b30 motor. I've retained the 318i rack but the lines are different. I need both lines for the lf-30 pump and to the cooler side. I believe this pump is lf-30 (pictures below)

https://www.trademe.co.nz/2012518824 pretty much as cheap as it gets these days. not much difference in price between these and some E46 1.8L varients etc

I thought the general consensus was avoid the 4 bangers like aids, because of unreliability and the economy difference wasn't worth it against a 6 pot?

ECS. They had a special a while back that dropped them under the $400 magic number.

Wow, is that a stock exhaust? Are the cats hanging off the headers? Either way, unbolt and drop the rear section and shake out whatever's in there... and hope it's not an exhaust valve!

3.23 is stock for the 6 speed but still, the leap is significant and I'm expecting satisfying results. Should be about 450 RPM higher per gear which will make 100km/h two shifts instead of one but I don't live my life by the stopwatch, just by the seat of my pants! Shifting all that torque down the range should be fun, it should put the "pull" about halfway between the e46 M3 and the CSL. I'll keep the original gear set for posterity.

Wut? ? Some came without an LSD? ~450hp RWD.

And just like that it's changed up again. Gumboot Rally in a few weeks, so I've made a few changes. I added clear paint protection film to the headlights as well. Still gotta wire up my CB properly and add the monster aerial - I was talking to someone in Mangere while driving around in Albany a while ago when I tested it haha. Once the rally is over I'll be swapping it back to standard and running the e92 18's for a bit

i had 2 single different branded 18" tyres both near new but took me months to sell and ended up selling for $20+ shipping to random as places around NZ even though RRP was $150+ each.
