One of my Legacy GTBs had over 300hp atw, with standard bilstein stocks and brakes. didnt leak anything, handled and stopped well. I was involved in the Subaru scene for years, never seen anyone have the amount of issues you claim to have. Why do you have a problem with everything and then think your opinion is the be all end all?

Ive owned six subarus. Two had receipts for previous engine rebuilds (one due to neglect, it had an oil leak and ran low. The other due to forged internals for power increase). All but one had over 200,000km when i sold them. Only one had an issue in my ownership, and that was a worn suspension bush needing replacement for WOF. My 523i and M3 had a vanos rebuild. My E36 323i shat an auto trans. My E46 323i stranded me when the intake piping decided it wanted to come apart. Most of your repairs sound like either user error, bad installs or bad parts fitted.

James is in touch regarding it, but will let you know if it doesnt work out. Was close to cutting it up and chucking it in the bin as it keeps getting in my way.

I have my old M3 one sitting in the garage. Its pretty rough but a sand and some paint should make it usable again. Its yours for nothing if you can get someone to pick it up.

Easy to change too, its a small reed bulb, iirc about 1w. Make sure the replacement is the same size as i tried a slightly bigger one in the housing when i did mine and it broke into bits inside the switch (and was a pain to get al lthe bits out) when reassembling.

Bullshit, the non-turbo engines (excluding the EJ25) are very reliable if looked after. Looks like a good commuter car and pretty cheap. Shame its not Manuel, know someone that wouldve been interested.

Looking great dave, although not so sure on the exposed downturned exhaust pipes. Only time i like pipes like that is on diesels, with them shooting smoke at the road under accel.

ive had great success using a small dab of autosol on a rag. Will need to give the paint a real good buff and wax afterwards though, but i never lost any gloss or anything, just took the traded paint off.

i had trouble selling my M3 with just over 200k on the clock because the ks were too high. id want to know, with receipts, that its had a lot of suspension work (bushes, shocks etc), cooling system, and clutch done recently.

had a V36 skyline a few cars back, top spec 350GT. Fantastic engine and auto, but the driving experience and handling were drastically underwhelming. Drove like a rocket powered barge, even with the "sport" pack. Quick in a straight line, but roly poly in corners. It was also as dull as bricks to drive when not dragging people off from the lights. Open road driving is its thing though, i did 6 hours non-stop once and felt fresh getting out. All the in dash units are in japanese. not too hard to work out how to use (there are translated user guides online) but something to keep in mind. The plus side is that its very comfortable, can handle being 5 up easily, not terrible on gas, looks good, has nissan reliability, lots of safety things, and is sure to make you crack a grin when accelerating. C-Classes are unreliable turds, wouldnt bother. Alfas are hit and miss at best. My old 159 cost me more in repairs in the short time i had it than any other car. It was also only about 10 years old at the time and had serious rust issues (holes in the floor pan). Great engine and gearbox though. I second the recommendation of a 530D. Lots of torque, great to drive, typical BMW quality and comfort.

i shouldnt have to. i have no intention of buying the car, but there is no reason for them to be hiding the rego (not putting it on the listing, and blanking the plates). Fresh imports i understand, but this clearly has plates on it.

it pisses me off a lot when people selling cars, especially dealers, dont supply rego plate numbers on listings. A lot of ambiguity in this listing could be fixed if you knew the rego.

also, if its an ///M they may restrict coverage because its a performance model.

i still wish OBD2 recorded engine "hours". I bet heaps of them low KM imports would have sky high hours on the engine.

I find they refuse to do trade on cash sales, only if you put it on an account which sucks.
