I love TG. Clarkson is hilarious and his borderline un-PC jokes are just what a stuckup country needs. I thought this series was the best in recent memory. Plus.... WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE P1 / LA FERRARI / 918 BATTLE!! BBC - bring back clarkson

I had to laugh a Piers Morgans comment - Your mistake was to take out all your angst on a hard-working, loyal Top Gear producer. If you'd just whacked ME in the head again, as you did at the British Press Awards in 2004, the nation would have risen as one to applaud you. I suspect an OBE might have been in the offing, possibly even an open-top bus, ticker-tape parade of London. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3011547/Piers-Morgan-Dear-Jeremy-big-mistake-hitting-loyal-hard-working-producer-not-again.html

Whoever purchased that car will regret it. It will cost more than he paid in maintenance in less than two years. That is why it was cheap.

TBH Clarkson and Harris should just create their own show. The only thing better than one over opinionated, egotistic, arrogant wanker thrashing cars for TV is Two of them. It would make great TV or even internet TV.

Shouldn't it be $28K. I heard thats what they go for Just needs a CSL badge. Good luck.

It will be missed. Very few shows I enjoy these days. The more car shows the better. 5th Gear is a bit dry most of the time. But I would still rather watch that before bed than anything on TV1/2/3/4/% The only replacement I would accept would be Chris Harris. Because he is just as much of an arrogant opinionated wanker as Clarkson. But they are suggesting Chris Evans. The twat from Radio 2. But he just won't fit in.

Pretty impressed with this tyre, coming from RFT's on the stock wheels on my E92 Nearly 2 years , around 40,000Km and that included 5-6 track days as well , got to the cords on the rears PSS (285/25/20) So as it's winter in the US , tiretrack don't have stock at the moment (eta 30-60days :S ) - does anyone know an alternative place to source? (quote with shipping for new rears was $970 US)

Actually, and in all seriousness, a good replacement for Jeremy Clarkson could be... Drum roll... Guy Martin?

Jay Kay. Not only is he a faster driver than Clarkson, he could keep a couple of series going by just using his own cars. in the meantime, Mr Clarkson has found alternative work already:

While they all have their pros and cons, for me the E36 and E90, particularly the non motorsport variations will be forgotten. Just bland boxes with a badge. The E46 and E30 are probably the best pair to date. Both have aged well and have a huge following, rightly so. The F30 is striking to be hold. Time will tell how it ages and what kinda following they get as the prices drop. I'd have an E46 coupe or touring with a V8, manual S62 or with a Lexus Engine 4.3-5L type.

But Jay would just stand around and talk about the cars rear louvers and double pump choke for half the show. Needs to be an Englishman. Harry Metcalfe could do it, as could a few of the people from EVO, its about the only trustworthy publication out there. I say let it die. The current format is almost dead anyway, I have not watched an actual TV for well over a year, don't even have an arial.

That is the only way the show could continue with any such following. Just use a complete muppet as the presenter. It would have a funny, but short life.

^ hahaha... Boris is incredibly funny. But ultimately hates cars.

Boris Johnson would be great. >.>

I Assume you are taking the tar insulation out? With mine a heat gun (not too hot, not too cold) worked well, then thinners to clean up the balance.

Yeah i had a Mk5 GTi about 2 years ago for 8 months, nice car, but had a lot of road noise, DSG gearbox was good, but in the back of my mind always worried about a 10k repair bill lol

The guy he hit even didn't want him sacked. Cos if top gear goes, his job goes too. Or at the least he gets moved onto some other bbc drivel.

I can't imagine Clarkson landing any heavy blows. More likely a little pushing and name calling - tall people like doing that... Most men would just blow it off. From what I have read Clarkson dobbed himself in and apologised to the Producer. On a side note I worked for a small software firm in the 90's under a scottish lady who was famous for decking the sys admin after an argument. Didn't seem to affect her career...

Clarkson can be quite obnoxious, but it isn't Top Gear without him. The crazy adventures they went on is what I enjoyed the most from Top gear recently. Top Gear US, and Aussi both suck (In my opinion) which I think shows that it can't be replicated so easily. I like Tiff Needell but he isn't a right fit with the other two, and I don't think anyone else is.

You will just have to build them as you go. As you know there is stuff all room on the drivers side. Get the engine in position with all the down pipe on. Then design from there. Or there will be headaches.

You need a very high testosterone level to want to keep banging an old fat women that doesn't wear makeup though. Just saying. I am all for honesty. Do I look fat in this? Yes. She will either dump you, or eat a lot less that night saving a lot of money at the restaurant.

I actually brought up this question up at a large table on the weekend (wedding) Concluded that: a) Car should look reasonably nice, be reasonably new and have a nice interior. b ) Motorbikes make women get a funny feeling inside. c) Unless you are well into a relationship, like a year or so, (a) goes out the door and is irrelevant if you are a confident reasonably good looking dude that dresses well and is fun. d) Red wine at weddings will always lead to interesting conversations, flirting, sexual assault allegations and uncomfortable confusion the next morning.

I thought all the rotor skanks hung out at mount maunganui? I'm sure there is some around here but I don't hang out with them

I think it always pays to apply a grain of skepticism to factory torque specs. Sometimes chasing that magical number can be a little dangerous. Be it old or previously damaged bolts, or grommets as you suggest that alters the situation. You tend to ignore the little sensations that let you know you're about to strip a thread when you have a torque spec to follow, and are waiting for the 'click'. I've damaged far more threads while tightening when using a torque wrench, than just playing it by ear with a ring and open end. Sometimes I wonder if you're best just with a basic understanding of the materials you're dealing with and the forces that the fastener is going to have to resist, then just playing it by feel. Anyway, good rescue!

Nope... To quote Cecil Rhodes... "Remember that you are an Englishman, and have consequently won first prize in the lottery of life" (which is slightly ironic from a man who spent so much of his time in Africa!) I'm off to India to watch the test series next year!

I see you are on the coast, get hold of Hell BM in Silverdale. They are a sponsor and Ray @ Hell is extremely knowledgeable and won't take you for a ride. Would suggest getting a consult with him before you go eBay buying or Internet diagnosing.
